You
can reach England either by plane, by train, by car or by ship. The fastest way
is by plane. London has three international airports. Heathrow is London's
major airport. It opened in 1929 as a small base for flight test and became an
international airport in 1946. Gatwick is London's second airport after
Heathrow. It opened in 1930. Stansted is London's third airport. It's 30 miles
of north of London. It opened in 1942 as a base for the American Air Force
during the second World War.
The
fastest way to traveling is by taxi. London taxis are driven by the best drives
in the world; each has to pass exam to prove he has detailed knowledge of the
city before receiving a license. Their special shape and black colour are
famous all over the world. The black cabs as they are called have became the
symbol of London. London drivers have green badges on their jackets.

Olympics.

The world's first underground line was opened between Baker St and the City
