Hi! It's
me again. There is plenty to do after school hours, particularly sport which I enjoy most. I love many sports but
best of all football. Almost all my friends are in our football team. We
train hard and we often play for the school
in various regional youth tournaments. Our coach has taught us all rigid rules which must be strictly observed. The last game we played ended in a draw
- 3:3. And though we know the famous Olympic
quotation "The most important thing is not to win, but to take part",
we all want to win some day.
I do sport every day. After school on Mondays I go running with my friends for about an hour. Then I go to the swimming pool. Swimming
is an excellent way to keep fit. It makes your legs and body strong.
Pete, the greatest footballer of all
time, is my idol in football.
Exercise2 Work
in groups of 3 or 4. Make up 5 questions about Daniel's favourite sport. Be
ready to discuss them with other partners when you change over.

My sister suddenly fell ill. She had a high
temperature and felt very bad. She had a splitting headache and a cough. We
sent for our district doctor. The doctor came and asked my sister to strip to
the waist. She examined her, felt her pulse and took her temperature. It was
the flu. The doctor told my sister to keep to her bed and prescribed some
medicine, mustard plasters and hot-water bottle to her feet. Then the doctor
put down a slip for x-ray and blood examination. My sister followed
the doctor's instructions and in ten days my sister felt much better. She went
to the policlinic for a check up. The doctor said she had fully recovered.

September the weather in Britain was very bad, so Robert got on his bicycle in London
and went to Dover. At Dover he took a ferry. After three days he reached Paris,
but in, but in Paris the weather wasn't better than in London. It rained all
the time. Again he got on his bike and started the journey to Spain. Robert likes France a lot. He travelled slowly. The weather got better. The days
were very sunny and warm. It was late
October when he arrived in Spain. For five days he traveled slowly because
there were strong winds, and it often led. At the beginning of November the
weather got better.
The sun shone but the beaches were often empty. He left Spain
lie beginning of December. In December he was in Africa. It was very hot there.
The journey was very interesting. He came back to England by plane.
