		·         Name all holidays studied at the lesson ·          Match the names of holidays with their definitions Most learners will be able to: ·         describe holiday activities using 5-8 vocabulary words ·         make up a dialog with given words without support ·         respond to the descriptions Some learners will be able to: ·         write  4-6 sentences about places for holiday in Kazakhstan without support ·         answer specific questions about Kazakhstan’s sightseeing

Beginning 5 minutes	Teacher greets students; students respond to greeting and take their places. Warming up Teacher asks students “How are you?” to find out their mood at the beginning of the lesson; students choose one of the smiles they see on the slide, saying “I am happy/sad….etc.”                   Teacher will  invite learners play game “Go fish”(find your group). Give them  words on the theme of transport, sport  and divided in two groups.						Slide 1 Cards with words
Middle 30 min Reflection Assessment	Look at the board! You can see there a cluster with the central word “Summer”. What words in your opinion, related to this phrase? (Learners  using their vocabulary find out words. One of the words will be   HOLIDAY) Students get familiar with the theme and lesson objectives. Answering teacher’s questions Teacher: Well, let’s start. – Do you like holidays? – Yes, I do – What holidays do you know? – Christmas, New Year’s day, Victory Day, Mother’s Day, St Valentine’s Day, Birthday, Motherland Defenders’ Day, Women’s Day, May Day, Independence Day, Easter, Day of Knowledge. – What is your favourite holiday? Why? – I like Easter most of all. Because we color eggs. – And what about you? Which holiday do you like most of all?  Matching (work individually) Teacher: Now, boys and girls, look at the blackboard. Read the task, please: Match the names of the holidays in Kazakh and in English an Russian, please. Come to the blackboard. I give you half a minute.   Ready?  Let’s check.
