• Ulan-Ude city

       The city of Ulan-Ude, the capital of the Republic of Buryatia (the old name Verkhneudinsk) is situated on the banks of two rivers: the Selenga and the Uda.

   The memorial stone and an orthodox cross to commemorate the original foundation site of the city. They are set up on the place of the former Verkhneudinsky ostrog  on the rocky right bank of the Uda river.
