Worst Nuclear Reactor Disaster
The world’s worst ever nuclear reactor disaster took place at the nuclear power station in Chernobyl (in the former USSR, now Ukraine) in April of 1986. An area of more than 10,900 sq miles was contaminated and about 1.7 million people received a various amount of radiation.

It is the world’s largest independent conservation organization. Registered as a charity on 11 September 1961, it has around 5 million supporters in 100 countries. The aim of the WWF is to protect nature and conserve biological diversity.
