The aims of the extra curricular
work:
a) Educational: give more
information about Kazakhstan; speak about its sightseeing; make presentation
about Kazakhstan.
b) Bringing – up: increase interest in our Motherland; discuss Kazakhstan
geography, history; express own points of view; understand and love native
place, be proud of it.
c) Developing: develop critical thinking, logical speech; develop reading
skills.

I. Organization moment.
- Good morning, dear guests!
We are glad to see you in our competition.
Today we’re speak about
our Independet Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan is the ancient and beautiful land;
It is the ninth largest country in the world;

Now, look at the interactive board and listen to our students, what they
can say about Kazakhstan. What can we call Kazakhstan?

P1: Kazakhstan is my Motherland. Astana is the capital of Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan is the democratic and independent republic.
-
P2: It is a multinational republic. People of more than 100
nationalities live here. The population of Kazakhstan is over 16 million.
T: Do you know what the state symbols are?
P3: They are the State Flag, the State Emblem and the State
Anthem.
P4: This is our flag. The sun as the symbol of peace is
depicted against the blue background. You can see the eagle-the symbol of
freedom- under the sun. There is a traditional Kazakh ornament on the left.
P5: And this is the State Emblem. There is “shanyrak”-a
circle on the top of yurta in the Centre of the State Emblem on the blue
background. Its two beams lying across symbolize the four parts of the world.
The sun rays are spreanding all around the shanyrak. The mytodical
horses-”tulpars”-complete the ensemble. There is a star on the top and the
inscription “Kazakhstan” below.
T: For last years Astana has changed. It became a beautiful
city of Kazakhstan. It is the capital of our country with a lot of sights. One
of them is famous Baiterek.
P6: The 105m-high Baiterek Tower has become the city`s
symbol and landmark with a 97m-high observation deck providig a bird's eye view
of the city. Baiterek is situated on the city square on the left bank of Ishim
River. The baiterek Tower hosts an art gallery, a large aquarium and
restaurant.
T: Let's speak about the geographical position of
Kazakhstan.

P7:Kazakhstan is an independent republic in the Commonwealth
of Independent States. It is second to Russia in its territory. It's now a big
industrial, cultural, scientific and administrative centre of the republic.
Kazakhstan has the population of about 14 million people. More than a hundred
nationalities live there. There are a lot of rivers and lakes
in Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan is rich in national
resources such as coal, iron, oil, different coloured
metals. Kazakhstan is a great agricultural region.
There are such big industrial centres in Kazakhstan as
Almaty, Karaganda, Pavlodar, Pelropavlovsk,
Taraz and others. A lot of people of different
nationalities live in Kazakhstan in a friendly family.
P8:Kazakhstan is a wealth of frosty mountain
peaks, sparkling glaciers, softly rustling evergreen
forests, huge rocky canyons bridged by colorful
rainbows, emerald mountain lakes, wild rivers,
poetic sunrises, and unique plant and animal life.
Kazakhstan is the birthplace of ancient Eurasian
civilizations, the motherland of nomadic people,
and an important part of the Great Silk Road (1,400km).The
word "Kazakh" means "a free and independent nomad" in
ancient Turkish.
P9:The official language of Kazakhstan is Kazakh,
a Turkic language. State organizations and local
governmental bodies also use Russian. The government
encourages citizens to study and speak several languages.
Everybody has the right to use their native language and
the right to choose their language for communication,
study and work. This contributes to people of various
ethnic origin and religions living and working peacefully
in the country.
