Тема урока: “Comparing the systems of education in GB and Kazakhstan”

Продолжительность урока: 45 минут

Цель данного урока: создать условия для привития учащимся навыков межличностного общения, умения инициировать и поддерживать беседу, а также контроль лексических единиц и использования их в речевых блоках, как в диалогической, так и в монологической речи по теме “Education

Образовательный аспект: ознакомить учащихся с системой образования Великобритании и Казахстана в сравнительной степени, работа с лексическими единицами по теме, совершенствовать навыки чтения и письма.

Познавательный аспект: общение и выражение своих мыслей на изучаемом иностранном языке. Тренировка всех видов речевой деятельности: аудирования, чтения, говорения, письма.

Развивающий аспект: формировать способности и готовности вступать в иноязычное общение, развитие различных видов памяти (вербальной, образной), внимания, коммуникативности , воображения, развития мыслительной деятельности, умения переноса знаний в новую ситуацию, развитие языковой догадки.

Воспитательный аспект: показать значимость умения решать коммуникативные задачи через диалог, расширить кругозор, творческие способности учащихся.

На уроке использовала технологии: здоровьесберегающие, дифференцированное обучение, технологии личностно – ориентированного обучения.

Методы: объяснительно – иллюстративные (беседа), методы стимулирования и мотивации учебно – познавательной деятельности (поощрения в формировании мотивации, интересов в овладении знаниями умениями и навыками).

Методы контроля за эффективностью учебно – познавательной деятельности: устные, письменные проверки и самопроверки результативности овладения знаниями, умениями и навыки.

Методы стимулирования учебно – познавательной деятельности: групповые, коллективные, самостоятельная работа.

Today our lesson is devoted to education system in Great Britain and Kazakhstan. We are going to compare these two systems of education and talk about subjects that we study at school.

T. Very good. Now let’ s talk about what is education. Give your opinions about what the education is.

5. Основная часть: учащимся команд дается текст, про образование в Казахстане и в Великобритании. Задание на саморегуляцию. Учащимся дается возможность самостоятельно изучить новую тему.

Now let’s read the 1st group to read the text about “Education in Kazakhstan” I’ll give you 2 minutes. Read the text yourselves.

Education in Kazakhstan.

The educational system in Kazakhstan is presented in two Languages: Kazakh and Russian. Compulsory education begins in our country at the age of 6. when children go primary school. This is the first stage of their schooling and lasts four years. The children learn to read to write and to count. They also have Drawing, Music and Physical Training classes

Secondary education is the most developed in the state’s education system. Pupils receive their secondary education in schools of three different levels: primary (1 - 4grade) middle (5 - 9grade) and junior (10 - 11grade).

Secondary stage begins from the 5th from where children have a lot of new subjects such as Literature, History, Physical, and Algebra, a Foreign Language and other. Examinations are taken at the end 9th grade. After finishing the 9th grade children continue education in high school, in technical – professional in states or in special schools. There are also Art, Music, Ballet and sport schools for gifted children. Recently Kazakhstan has also developed selves new types of school with greater specialization such as gymnasia, technical lyceums and private schools. Education it free there expect those which work on a commercial basis.

The private education system started to take form in the country only offer it gained its independence.

Education in Great Britain”

In Great Britain children start going to school when they are five and continue studying until they are 16 or older. Compulsory education begins at the age of five when children go to primary school. Primary education lasts for six years. First they attend the infant school from five to seven.

In infant schools children don't have real classes. They get acquainted with the class-room, desks, play and learn through playing. They learn numbers and how to add them.

When the children are seven they go to junior school which they attend until eleven. Boys and girls study at junior school for four years. There they have classes, read and write, do mathematics. Then they go to secondary school.

At secondary school pupils study English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, Art, Music, Foreign languages and Physical training.

There are some types of secondary school in Great Britain. They are grammar school, modern school and comprehensive schools. There are some private schools in England. Boys and girls do not study together at these schools. The teachers of these schools pay personal attention to each pupil.

English pupils have school uniform. It is an old tradition in the country. A boy's uniform consist of a special suit, a school cap , a tie end a blazer. A girl's uniform consist of a hat, a coat, a skirt and a blouse . As usual uniform is dark.

As you have just read British education has many different faces but one purpose. Its purpose is to develop pupils' abilities and prepare them for life in the modern world.

T. Well we have learned to your projects. Now tell us your opinions about these projects.

P.1. The British schools differ from our schools. It is interesting that they have such subjects as Games and Cooking. I d like to study in such school.

P.2. As for me I like the fact that they have a very good canteen in their schools.

P.3. To my mind their school curriculum is easier than ours. And I prefer to study in a Kazakh school..

P.4. Yes our schools are not so good equipped, but our students can show good results. And I m not pity that I study in a Kazakh school.

P.5. I hope that Kazakh schools will be one of the best in the world.
