P: (предполагаемыйответученика) The original Olympic Games were started
in ancient Greece. They included race, pentathlon, wrestling, first-cuffs,
horse-race and chariot-riding. Only men could take part in them. At first they
had religious meaning, but later they became all-Greece number one sport and
culture event. In 1896 Pierre de Coubertin started modern Olympic Games. They
are held every four years. During World War I and World War II the Games were
not organized. The biggest countries compete to welcome the games. They were
held in Russia in 1980. The last Winter Olympic Games were this year in
Vancouver.

T:What does the Olympic flag symbolize?
P: The Olympic flag, which appeared in
Olympic competition for the first time at Antwerp in 1920, has a white
