Starter: At the beginning of the lesson learners are suggested to listen to the dialogue. According to the dialogue learners should to propose the theme of the lesson.              “Ticket inspector and passenger”

Lesson objectives:

1. recognize and use 7-10 topic words

2. discuss and share your ideas on the topic “Travelling”

3. summarize the information of the topic “Travelling”

Activity 1

 ---Pre-Listening Look at the board , can you predict the content of the conversation? Can you guess where the conversation takes place?(flight,  luggage/ the information desk)

--Listen to the dialogue   Put a tick and then say if the information True or False?

--Post-listening. Who is eager to act the dialogue out? Who are ready?

  

   Activity2   Brainstorming 

    All students like to play games. You have the cards with the words (Put the words in the logical order to make a chain.(the first card is in black)

Activity 3 Speaking Group work

 The class is divided into three groups. There are three speakers.

  Each speaker in turn comes to each group and share the information with the students.

 

  The first speaker: The theme “Is Insurance necessary for traveller?” Car insurances policies/ accident insurances/ a life insurances/ travel insurances/ Why do people buy travel policies?                           

The second speaker:  The theme  “Tourists on Their Own” 

The third speaker:  The theme “Packaged Tour Tourists”

     Listen to the information, think , answer the questions of the speaker, share your ideas in the group  and then with all classmates/

 “Packaged Tour Tourists”

1)The travel agency arranges everything for you

2)They book and buy the plane or train ticket for you

3)WHEN YOU ARRIVE YOU ARE MET AT THE AIRPORT OR AT THE STATION BY REPRESENTATIVE OF THE TRAVEL AGENCY

4)A comfortable room in the hotel is already  reserved for you

 5)You are offered a programmer of excursions which is paid for advance. A guide tells you about lots of interesting things while sightseeing

6) You don’t have to worry about food

7)If you are not lucky with the weather there are plenty of  indoors  activities in the hotel

8)There can be special low prices if it’s not high seasons.

9)It’s very comfortable and reliable.

 “Tourists on their Own”

1) When travelling by yourself you feel a sense of adventure

2) It is the cheapest type of tourism but a very rewarding one

3) When you arrive you can choose any place you want to stay-not just a boring room in an average hotel

4) On rainy days the drops tapping on the roofs on the tents sound very romantic

5)You might prefer baked potatoes and delicious fish soup to the dishes in a café.

6)If you don’t feel like going on an excursion you don’t have to go/It hasn’t been paid for anyway.

7) When you are in a new place you can investigate it yourself

8.) This is the only way to feel the real atmosphere and to understand what people are like there

 

Energy exercises

      Summarize: We have just discussed several ways of travelling and now think a little and give some reasons which type of tourism do you choose. Do you prefer?

Alexandra could you help me? Can you count how many students think which type of tourism is better?

 A:10 students from the class are for “Packaged Tour Tourists” – because this way is comfortable and reliable and don’t have to worry about food, about tickets and so on.

  7 students from the class are for “Tourists on their own” because this way is the cheapest type of tourism, you feel a sense of adventure, you can choose any place you want to stay. Thanks
