Тема:  In the city. How to get to the nearest bank?

Цель: развитие навыков говорения

Задачи:

образовательная: создать условия для формирования у учащихся языковых знаний и умений по теме «In the city»;

развивающая: способствовать развитию памяти, внимания, мышления, воображения у учащихся; создать условия для развития коммуникативных навыков через диалогическую речь; содействовать развитию самостоятельной деятельности учащихся;

воспитательная: способствовать развитию культуры взаимоотношений при работе в парах; содействовать развитию интереса к изучению иностранного языка.

Оборудование: учебное пособие «Engligh 5.Рupil’s book-2» Л.М. Лапицкая[и др.], рабочая тетрадь-2, плакат с картой улиц города, раздаточный материал.

Ход урока:

1.     Организационный момент: (1-2m)

2.     Фонетическая разминка: (2m)

Read the words, try to pronounce them correctly. Say what sound they have in common:

      [i]- read, street, green, eat, feet;  

[ei]- way, may, lay, away, stay;

[ɔ:]- sport, short, shorts, horse, water;

[ɑ:]- past, fast, half, park, far;

[ð]- the, this, that, father, brother;

[ᴈ:] sir, turn, first, girl, bird.

3.     Проверка домашнего задания: (5m)

T:  It’s time to check your home task. Listen to me very attentively and «Guess the building». When you know what is it put your hands up.

1.     You can see doctors there. ( a hospital)

2.     You can swim there.(a swimming pool)

3.     You can buy books there. (a bookshop)

4.     You can get money there. (a bank)

5.     You can study, have lessons and get marks there. (a school)

6.     You can send cards there. (the post office)

7.     You can see dinosaurs there. ( a museum)

8.     You can watch a film there. (a cinema)

9.     You can buy food there. (a supermarket)

10.  You can take book to read there. (a library)

T: Open your books at page 39 and find exercise 2a.

T: It’s next to the cinema. –a swimming pool

It’s in front of a school. – a bank

It’s behind a pet shop. – a hospital

It’s opposite a museum. - the theatre

It’s next to a bookshop. - the church

It’s between a swimming pool and a library. –a school

4.Развитие навыков говорения (диалогическая речь) (7m)

T: Open your books at page 42-43 and find exercise 1. Look at the map.

You are going for a walk in the city.

You want to feel sure.

You are studying the map and trying to remember it.

T: What streets do you see?

P1: I see River Street.

P2: I see High Street.

P3: I see Swan Street.

T: What places can you see in the city?

P4: I can see the theatre and a Café.

P5: I can see a supermarket and the post office.

P6: I can see a school and a library.

P7: I can see two bridges.

P8: I can see a pet shop and a bank.

P9: I can see a bookshop and the church.

P10: I can see 4 traffic lights.

T: Where are they? Let’s read the modal and practice pronouncing it.

Use prepositions of place: next to, behind, in front of, opposite, between. Work in pairs:

P1: Where is a bookshop?

P2:  It is next to the church.

P3: Where is…?

P4: It is behind…

4.   Физкультминутка (2-3m)

Choose the word and stand in a line in front of the class. You have to listen to me very attentively. I will read a text. When you hear your word, you have to run around all pupils and stand the fist in a line. Are you ready?

Go along Bear Road, past the café and the park.  Turn left. Go over the bridge. Cross Princess Street and turn left and then right. Then cross Bear Road and go past the bookshop and the church. Go over the bridge and turn right. The theatre is opposite the church.

T: You are very active and attentive pupils. Great!

5.   Восприятие и понимание иноязычной речи на слух, развитие навыков говорения:

T: Look at the picture (ex.2p.43). Listen to the song. Who can you see? What is the song is about?

Ps: A policeman and a man (a tourist).

T: Yes, you are right. He doesn’t know the city and he asks questions. What are they?

Ps: Excuse me, sir. Can you tell me the way to nearest bank?

T: You are absolutely right.

Find exercise 3a, at page 44. Read the conversation and find the place on the map.

T: Listen and check your answers. (a bookshop)

Open your workbooks at page 28, exercise 2. Read sentences and complete the dialogue.
