Ход урока
I. Organization
moment. Task of the lesson
Good
afternoon, children! It’s nice to see you again! How are you? Take your seats,
please!
Look
at the screen. There are a lot of pictures. Answer my question. What do you
think we`re going to speak about?
Well.
Today we’ll continue our theme “Sport is fun”. Sport is very good for your health
and that’s why you must do sports to be healthy and strong.
Look
at blackboard! I wrote the question: “Why do people do sport?” And you will
answer it at the end of the lesson.
II.
Warm-up:
Look at the board. You can see the word sport on it. Think of 2 nouns,
2 verbs, 2 adjectives, 2 adverbs associated with this word. Write them on your
papers.
III.
Vocabulary.
Now I
suggest you to look at the pictures and name kinds of sports. There are
pictures of different kinds of sports on the screen. Answer my question/ What
sports is it? (Учащиеся отвечают на поставленный вопрос It is … .)
I see that the kinds of sport you know very well.

Work in groups.
Work in groups of 4. You can see the list of sports. Choose the right answers
on your questions and write out them.
Football, table tennis, badminton, volleyball, chess, gymnastics, aerobics,
dance, cycling, swimming, walking, skiing, ice-skating, horse-riding, windsurfing,
jumping, running, boxing, polo, figure skating, hockey, baseball, athletics, handball.

What sports are played in the winter? What sports do you need to wear
special clothes for? (Skiing, ice-skating, figure skating, hockey.)
2group:
What sports do people play in teams? What sports use balls? (Football, volleyball,
gymnastics, polo, baseball, handball.)
3group:
What sports do people play in pairs? (Table tennis,
badminton, chess, boxing, dance, figure skating.)
V.
Work in pairs.
Look at the cards on your desks. You must match the sentences or expressions with
sports. It’s interesting what pairs do this exercise better and without
mistakes.

Speaking.
I see that you like sport and know how to play different games.
Your home task for this lesson was to prepare a story about your favorite kind

рассказывают о своем любимом виде спорта и демонстрируют рисунок, выполненный
дома.)
VIII. Results.
Now let’s make a
conclusion by the lesson.
And try to answer the question which was written on the blackboard “Why do people
do sports?” (учащиеся

On your desks you can see balls. Take one of them. And draw it in different
colours.

interesting at the lesson, a yellow one if it was interesting and a red one if
you didn`t like it.
