Урок " Защита окружающей среды"


Урок по теме: «Защита окружающей среды»

Образовательная цель: расширение знаний учащихся об экологических проблемах.

Воспитательная цель: формирование уважительного отношения к природе и ответственного отношения к экологическим проблемам, воспитание бережного отношения к природным богатствам, чувства любви к родной природе.

Развивающая цель: развитие информационных умений учащихся, умение общаться в группах, умение обобщать информацию, умение использовать новые информационные технологии.

Оснащение урока: компьютер, мультимедиа проектор и экран, музыкальный центр, макет Земли

Ход урока

I. Начальный этап урока

1. Организационный момент.

- Приветствие

T: Good morning dear students. I’m very glad to see that you are well and ready to work hard and to get knowledge.

2.Проблемная постановка темы урока

T: I’d like to start our lesson with «The Earth song»(sticking the poster with the Earth-image on the blackboard) by M. Jackson. Listen to the song, watch the clip and think about the main idea of it.

(Listening to the song)

T: What is this song about?

Ps: The song is about …..

-Pollution of air by plants and factories

-Destruction of forests


-Dirty rivers, seas, oceans

-Extinction of animals and plants

-The contamination of the soil

-Heating and greenhouse effect

T: Thank you. What topic can you suggest to generalize your ideas?

P: I think “The environmental protection” goes best because it includes not only the environmental problems but the ways of solving them

T: So, the topic of today’s lesson is: “Environmental Protection “

( A teacher sticks the topic on the blackboard)

- The motto of our lesson is “If you don’t think about the future, you will not have one”

There are lots of problems facing our planet today. A lot of people live on our planet and the Earth’s resources won’t last forever. So, today we’ll speak about the problems which exist and think what we can do to prevent or solve them.

3.Речевая зарядка

Т: Now let’s play the game “Merry-go - round”. Please, remember kinds of pollution, reasons of pollution, what is our environment, name some nature disasters and say what you can do to protect our nature.

The first group will be…You ask questions.

The second group will be… You answer the questions.

(Pupils stand face to face into two circles )

-The rest of pupils will do the task “Agree or Disagree”

  • Cars are fast and comfortable means of transport

  • Plastic bags are comfortable for doing shopping

  • Fur coats are warm and beautiful

  • Using public transport takes too much time

  • Organic food is too expensive

II. Основной этап урока

1.Проверка домашнего задания

Teacher: Now it's time to work in groups. You were divided into three groups .

And your hometask was :

  1. Name your group

  2. Create an emblem

3. Make up a slogan

( "Think globally, act locally!", "Ecology suggests activity!" , "Think of your future!")

4 .Find information about polluting (№1- Air, №2-Water, №3-Land)

-Each group has got a speaker. So introduce yourself. Start , please!

P1…2…3: Our group is “Greenpeace”. Our slogan is…….Our emblem means…..

T: (A teacher points to the blackboard)

Some progress has been already made in nature protection. 159 countries members of UNO have set up environmental protection agencies. They hold conferences discussing ecological problems, set up environmental research centers and take practical urgent measures to avoid ecological catastrophe. There are numerous public organizations such as Green peace that are doing much to preserve environment.

What organizations do you know?


2. Аудирование

Teacher: Well done, groups. During the lesson you have to think of a programme how to change the situation in the world.

I have got some tasks for you. There will be 3 tasks. The first task is listening . Listen to the information and do the task –match some points.

T: Great! The next task for groups is reading. Read the text and choose the most suitable heading from the list A-E for each part. There is one heading you do not need to use.

T: You can see different kinds of pollution – air, water, land ……and o lot of problems nowadays.

Answer the questions:

  • Do you agree that these problems are extremely serious?

  • What are the reasons of these problems?

  • What are the results of the pollution and the destruction of the forests?

  • What other environmental problems do you know?

  • Do you think we can solve the problems?

5. Письмо

T: So, what should we do? The last task is writing. Make up sentences using the second conditional. Write your sentences on green leaves and colourful flowers. Begin your sentences with:

  • If I saw somebody throwing an empty packet on the street , I would………

  • If I discovered the factory I worked at was secretly polluting the environment ,I would………………

  • If I were the Minister for the Environment , I would………

  • If I had to without perfume/deodorant, I would………

  • If I were a fish, I would……….

  • If I had a lot of money, I would……

  • If I lived on an island, I would…….

Teacher: Read your sentences and stick leaves and flowers on our planet.

III. Заключительный этап урока.

1. Подведение итогов урока.

T: We have only few years to attempt to turn things around. We must review our wastes, consume less, recycle more, and conserve wildlife and nature. We have to remove factories and plants from the cities, use modern technologies, redesign and modify systems for cleaning and purifying, protect and increase the greenery and broaden ecological education. These are the main practical measures, which must be taken in order to improve the ecological situation.

T: Did you like our lesson?

T: As for me I like our lesson very much. Especially I like your work. What about you? Whose work did you like best of all? Who was the best at the lesson?
