Introduction (5 min)

T greets Ss: “Glad to see you. Let's start our lesson and work together. I hope you are fine. At the beginning of our lesson I want you to show me with the help of these pictures how you are today”.

Warm-up: Reading

Actualization of knowledge:

T tells the class they will talk on the theme “What colour is your cat? ”

T tells the class We will study how to tell about animals` or other objects` colours in English.

T: So, the topic of our lesson is “What colour..”

Let`s study what words do we need today? Pupils work with PCs write down the new words.

Listening (colours)

Pupils listen to the song two times, fill in the gaps.

(yellow cards are on the board for helping). Then pupils listen to the song individually, check themselves.




Reading and writing. Pupils listen to the text “Hugo the artist”, answer the tests and simple questions





Speaking (production)

Well, you have worked well. Now, can you tell me What colour is your pet?

This ….. ….the cat. It is …..(colour) I like my cat.

PC-s, the answer sheets

Cambridge multimedia dictionary-1 section colours, song- and sheets for listening.

Story section, cards with tests and questions.
