LONDON IS ONE OF THE OLDEST AND MOST INTERESTING CITIES IN THE WORLD. TRADITIONALY IT IS DIVIDED INTO SEVERAL PARTS-THE CITY,WEST- MINSTER,THE WEST END AND THE EAST END. THEY ARE VERY DIFFERENT FROM EACH OTHER AND SEEM TO BELONG TO DIFFERENT TOWNS AND EPOCHS.
THE QUEEN IS A SIMBOL OF BRITAIN’S LONG HISTORY AND TRADITION.SHE IS THE HEAD OF STATE. BUT IN REALITY SHE HAS VERY LITTLE POWER. SHE HAS TO PUT HER SIGNATURE ON NEW LAWS, EVEN IF SHE DOES NOT LIKE THEM. EVERY AUTUMN SHE OPENS PARLIAMENT, BUT HER SPEECH IS WRITTEN BY THE PRIME MI- NISTER.
