Цель: развитие социокультурной компетенции учащихся

Задачи:

Образовательные:

- приобщать учащихся к культуре англоязычных стран через ознакомление учащихся с их историческими, политическими и социокультурными реалиями;

- контролировать знания, умения и навыки учащихся, полученные в ходе изучения страноведения англоязычных стран;

- совершенствовать умения и навыки практического владения английским языком.

Развивающие: - развивать у учащихся умения логически рассуждать, высказывать гипотезы, анализировать, обобщать, выдвигать гипотезы, делать выводы.

Воспитательные: - формировать уважение, прививать интерес и воспитывать толерантность к культуре, обычаям и традициям других стран, повышать мотивацию к изучению английского языка.

Комментарии: Класс делится на несколько команд и выбирают капитана, рассаживаются на приготовленные за столами места. На столиках стоят номера команд, и имеется сигнальная карточка для капитана. Ведущий объясняет правила проведения викторины, которые, в основном, соответствуют правилам брейнринга (очко получает команда, ответившая на вопрос быстрее и правильнее других) и представляет членов жюри. В течение викторины и по её окончании жюри выставляет баллы, объявляет результаты.

Оборудование: компьютер и мультимедийный проектор для демонстрации вопросов и ответов викторины, выполненных в формате мультимедийной презентации.

Dear students, today we are going on a tour around Great Britain and the USA and we hope that during our tour you will learn a lot of interesting things about the countries where English is spoken as the official language, but while traveling you’ll have to think over some questions on the British and American geography, history, culture and music. Listen to the questions very attentively because many of them have hidden answers.

PART I

So the first country we are coming to is the United Kingdom. Be active and try to answer all our questions. Good luck to you!
