Цель урока: . Совершенствовать умения и навыки практического владения английским языком по данной теме по всем видам речевой деятельности: аудированию, говорению, чтению и письму.

Основные задачи урока:

• Общеобразовательные:
• учить работе в парах;
• способствовать развитию памяти, внимания, логического мышления.
• совершенствовать навыки монологической и диалогической речи.
• Развивающие:
• формировать мотивацию к изучению иностранного языка;
• рзвивать интеллектуальные умения;

• воспитывать понимание красоты и разнообразия окружающего мира;

ХОД УРОКА

I. Оргмомент

T: Good morning, girls and boys. I’m glad to see you again. I hope you are fine. Today we’ll have an unusual lesson. We’ll talk, recite poems, sing songs, play games. We’ll see the beautiful pictures of our nature. We’ll also speak about the seasons and the weather

II. Повторение лексики по теме

T: But first of all we’ll revise some words and phrases to the theme “Seasons and weather”.

T: Now look at the picture and name the weather.

T: Let’s speak about the weather. Look out of the window and answer my questions.

• Is the weather good or bad today?

T: Now we are going to speak with you about one season. Guess what season it is. This season is beautiful. Everything in the streets is white and clean. What is the season? That’s right. It is winter. Please, Roma, will you tell us about this wonderful season.

P1: Winter is the coldest season of the year. The rivers and lakes are frozen over. The sun sets early and rises late. The days are short and the nights are long. The sky is grey. It often snows. There is a lot of snow everywhere. The trees, the streets, the houses are white with snow. Children can ski, skate, play hockey and snowballs.

T: You know there are many beautiful poems about winter. I hope you remember the lines

Neath lucid skies of cleanest azure
The winter’s rich and dazzling treasure,
The gorgeous rugs of snow are spread.
The wood is etched against them darkly
The firs, rime-starred, are green and sparkling,
In shiny mail the stream is clad.

T: Many people, children and adults, like winter, because it is rich in festivals. The New Year’s Day is the most favourite holiday of Russian people. (5 слайд)
The British also have many holidays in winter.  Dasha, please, tell us about them.

P2: In winter the British have several holidays. On the first of January they celebrate the New Year’s Day. This holiday is especially popular in Scotland. 
But in England the most popular holiday is Christmas. People celebrate it on the 25th of December with Christmas tree and Santa Claus. They buy presents to each other and send Christmas cards. On Christmas day many people go to church. After that the family gather round the Christmas tree and open their presents. Then they have a traditional dinner – a turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, plum pudding, cakes, tea or coffee. (6 слайд)
One more popular holiday in winter is St. Valentine’s Day. The British celebrate it on the 14th of February. It is the day of all lovers. They send Valentines to each other. A Valentine is a greeting card or a little present in a form of a heart.

T: It is spring now. You’ll have spring holidays very soon. I wonder what you will do during your holidays if the weather is good or bad.

In October the days grow shorter and the nights grow longer. It becomes colder and darker and cold winds blow. It often rains. Birds fly away to warm countries.

T: Времена года это четыре удивительных сезона, каждый неповторим и очарователен по-своему. Пробуждающая живой мир весна, благоухающее лето, грациозная осень и суровая зима. Seasons it is four surprising seasons, everyone is unique and charming in own way. The spring awakening the live world, fragrant summer, graceful fall and severe winter.
