мероприятие на английском языке
Тема:
“Time Machine, or The Heart of my Beloved”
Цель: Развитие интереса к английскому языку и коммуникативной компетенции
Задачи:
Практические:

в ораторской речи
- Тренировка
лексических и слухо- произносительных навыков
- Ознакомление
ребят с особенностями языка Шекспира, соответствующей лексикой,
формирование бережного отношения к слову и формирование понимания

Организационный момент: проверка аппаратуры, декораций, инвентаря; проверка
«актёров»; приветствие и «настрой» на ролевую игру («Wishing On a Star») (5
мин.)

Ролевая игра (50 мин.)
3)
Подведение итогов: выражение благодарности друг другу за проделанную работу,
обсуждение (5 мин.)
«Time Machine, or The
Heart of my Beloved»
(Машина
времени, или Сердце любимой)
Tom is sitting on his bed, he is looking
at his watch and suddenly hears some strange noise. He rises and tries to open
the door. The noise grows and suddenly everything changes. Now he is staying
among the trees, it seems to be the 16th century.
Suddenly
he comes across a passer-by.
Tom: Hey… guy. what's up? Where am I?
Passer-by: I beg your pardon, sir… (frightened)
The passer-by runs away.
Tom is shocked. He is walking through
the trees and finds the young couple, they are talking about something. He can
hear just some words.
(На заднем фоне доносятся
звуки музыки «Is It Love»)
Romeo: O, it is my lady; O, it is my love!
…She speaks, yet she says nothing. What
of that?
…See how she leans her cheek upon her
hand!
Juliet: Ay me!
Romeo: She speaks.
O, speak again, bright angel!
Juliet: O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou
Romeo?
Deny thy father and refuse thy name!
Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn
my love,
And I'll no longer be a Capulet.
Romeo: [aside] Shall I hear more, or shall I
speak at this?
Juliet: 'This but thy name that is my enemy.
Thou art thyself, though not a
Montague.
What's Montague? it is nor hand, nor
foot,
Nor arm, nor face, nor any other
part
Belonging to a man. O, be some other
name!
What's in a name? That which we call
a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet.
Romeo: By a name
I know not how to tell thee who I
am.
My name, dear saint, is hateful to
myself,
Because it is an enemy to thee.
Romeo: Lady, by yonder blessed moon I swear…
Juliet: O, swear not by the moon, th'
inconstant moon,
That monthly changes in her circled orb…
Romeo: What shall I swear by?
Juliet: Do not swear at all…
Romeo: O, wilt thou leave me so unsatisfied?
Juliet: What satisfaction canst thou have
to-night?
Romeo: Th' exchange of thy love's faithful vow
for mine.
Juliet: I gave thee mine before thou didst
request it…
But to be frank and give it
thee again.
And yet I wish but for the
thing I have.
My bounty is as boundless as
the sea,
My love as deep; the more I
give to thee,
The more I have, for both
are infinite.
I hear some noise within.
Tom
runs away…
Suddenly
he runs into a couple.
Lady: Look, Abram. What a strange man…
Abram: He must be a servant of Devil. Give me
my long sword, ho!
Tom is scared. He runs away from them,
and finally finds the beautiful, wonderful lake… He decides to have some rest…
But suddenly he notices another couple. They also seem to be in love with each
other.

доносятся звуки музыки «Just Another Love Song»)
Julia: Art thou gone so, my lord, my love, my friend?
I must hear from thee every day in
the hour,
For in a minute there are many days.
O, by this count I shall be much in
years
Ere I again behold my Romeo!
Romeo 2: Farewell!
I will omit no opportunity
That may convey my greetings, love,
to thee.
Julia: O, thinks’ thou we shall ever meet again?
Romeo 2: I doubt it not; and all these woes
shall serve
For sweet discourses in our time to
come.
Julia: O God, I have an ill-divining soul!
Romeo 2: And trust me, love, in my eye so do
you.
Dry sorrow drinks our blood.
Adieu, adieu!
(Exit)
Julia: O Fortune, Fortune! all men call thee fickle.
If thou art fickle, what dost thou
with him
That is renowned for faith? Be
fickle, Fortune,
For then I hope thou wilt not keep
him long
But send him back.
Tom doesn’t want to trouble her, that’s
why he goes away from there. But suddenly he is caught. His clothes are so
unusual for that time, his speech is so clear and modern. Everyone can easy say
that he is a spy! So, he becomes a prisoner.
Guard
1: Prisoner, stand up!
Guard
2: The king is here to
see you.
Tom stands up as King William enters his
cell. The King is an old man with a mean face. He probably is a father, but not
a good one.
King
William: So, you are the
spy in Verona. Well, you must be ready to pay for your crime!
Tom: But I tell you I am Not a Spy. You have
made a mistake.
The Kings daughter appears on the stage.
She expects her father to kill one more innocent man. She realizes that Tom
will become a victim of her cruel father.
King
William: That’s what
they all say. You must die, Tom. But to show you I am fair, I hold in my hand
two slips of paper. One says LIFE and the other says DEATH. If you choose the
LIFE slip, I will let you go.
The
King holds out his hands. Juliet catches her father’s idea and decides to warn
Tom.
Juliet: Good afternoon, sir. I’ve heard that
you’ve caught a spy. Let me be present at that trial. I always admire your
gentleness and honesty. I believe in your GOOD WILL. (with irony)
According to Juliet’s words Tom
understands the King’s evil intentions.
Tom: (aside) What shall I do? The King has
probably written DEATH on both slips to make sure I can’t win.
He
is hesitating. He wants to live to see his Anny. Suddenly Tom snaps his fingers
as if struck with an idea. He takes one slip from the King.
King
William: (laughing) Now
open the paper and see what it says.
Tom
quickly opens the paper and quickly swallows it as if by chance.
Tom: Sorry, your majesty, but I have swallowed
the paper I Chose. Now, look at the paper you have left in your hand. If it
says DEATH, that proves I must have chosen LIFE.
The
King opens the remaining slip.
King
William: Very clever,
you scoundrel. This slip does say DEATH.
(aside)
Thousand rats!
Juliet: Congratulations! It presents a triumph
of justice! (aside)
Tom: Am I free? Will you let me go?
King: You have only proved that you are a
spy! You are very clever! And I can’t let you go! I need such clever people
in my court!
Tom: Oh, no! I've got a fiancée!!!! She is
waiting for me!!!
Juliet: Do you really love her?
Tom: I am crazy about her!!!
Juliet: Pardon?
Tom: Oh I’m sorry. I love her as a flower
loves the Sun!
Juliet: Then you must know the secret of
happiness! And you must help me to choose a proper husband! Do you mind, sir?
King: That is a good decision, daughter! He
will chose the man who is as smart as he himself.
(to
the guards)
Let
the young men in!
Juliet:
(to Tom): I beg you,
help me!!!! I have a beloved, but ….
Tom: I guess I understand whom you mean!
Juliet: Do you? But you cannot know all the
truth about us! We are so different! WE can't be together as the Sun and The
Moon!!! But I love him to death!!!!
Tom: It’s not a problem! I've heard your
talk in the garden!!!
Juliet: What??? How dared you!!!!
Tom: I'm terribly sorry! But we don't have
time to quarrel!!! Your dad looks as if he wants to marry you off to a rich
sonny of one of his friends!!!
Juliet: You are absolutely right!!! And I'm so
unhappy!!!!!
Tom: Don't worry! Will your Romeo come
today?
Juliet: Yes, he will! They all will be in
masks! I won't even see his face! But there is no hope!!!
Tom: Come on! I'll help you out!!! But you
must keep your promise and let me go! I guess your dad will do anything for
you!!
King
comes up to them
Tom
(to Juliet): just do
what I will say!!!
King: Now they are at your disposal!
Tom: Thank you, your majesty!
Dear
gentlemen! Today we will hold a contest! The prize is that young pretty girl!!!
(the
gentlemen are shocked. The have never heard such speech at the Court)
And
of course she needs a tender and loving husband! Let us see who the most
romantic of you is!
You
know, I had a legend about love. But when I was caught by those nice guards.
But… it got broken! You have to join the pieces! And those two who will be the
first will win… Is it clear?
Fiance1: I apologize! But there will be one
husband. Am I right? But there will be 2 winners…
Tom: True. But don’t you think that she
deserves a more meticulous choice!!! I guess you are used to getting everything
at once ….
Fiance1: I am sorry! You are the embodiment of
wisdom!
Tom: Don't waste our time! Let's start!
(Two
of the fiancées win)
Tom: Congratulations!
King: Guards! Take that failure away!!!!
Tom: Look at the princess! She doesn’t look
really happy! I guess her heart is broken! Let’s join the pieces of her
heart!!!
(There
is one winner. It is Romeo!)
Romeo
takes his mask off!!! Juliet is happy!!!
King: Capulet!? You can’t become the member
of our honorable family!!!
Juliet: But Daddy! It's fate!!!! You've
promised. WE have chosen him!!! You must keep your word.
Queen: Thou knows my daughter is of pretty
age!!!!
King: My daughter is just 14! She is too
young to marry!!! She can wait for the better fate
Queen: Marry, that 'marry' is the very theme
I came to talk of. Tell me, daughter
Juliet,
How stands your disposition to be
married?
Juliet: It is an honor that I dream not of.
Nurse: An honor? Was not I the only nurse,
I would say thou hardest sucked
wisdom from thy teat.
Queen: Well, think of marriage now. Younger than you,
Here in Verona, ladies of esteem,
Are made already mothers.
Thus then in brief:
The valiant Romeo seeks you for his
love.
Nurse: A man, young lady! Lady, such a man
As all the world
Queen: Verona's summer hath not such a flower.
Nurse: Nay, he's a flower, in faith- a very flower.
Queen: What say you? Can you love the gentleman?
This night you shall behold him at our feast
Nurse: Go, girl, seek happy nights to happy days.
(Happy Juliet, Romeo, Nurse, Queen leave
to get ready for the feast and wedding)
King: Who is the king in Verona? (in despair)
Tom: You, my majesty! The wisest and most
honorable king, who always keeps his promises! It's high time you let me go!
I've made your daughter happy!!!
King: You are a traitor! But I am a king!...
I don't need such servants!... You are a free man. I will keep my word!
Something has changed within my soul! I can’t but make people happy now!!!
Guards, take him away.
Guard
1: Yes, your majesty.
Guard
2: This way out, Tom.
The
guards lead Tom away.
Do
you think he is happy? Yes, maybe. But partly! His love is at home, it’s far
away from him. His only dream is to be at that very moment with her… With Ann …
Let’s
do justice. He made so many people happy. He must be happy too.
Suddenly
the sky becomes grey and the lightning strikes just near him… he falls down and
when his consciousness returns to him, he understands that he is at home, with
Ann. She is cooking something in the kitchen. He runs to meet her eyes, to see
her face, to touch her… (He is looking at Ann with love!)
Ann: Hi, darling! How are! You were sweet
when you were sleeping! I didn’t dare to wake you up! Why are you looking at me
in such a way?
Tom: Now I am the happiest man in the world,
because I am with you!
Ann: And I am the happiest woman! I love
you!
Tom: I love you too!!!
(The
music “Miracle of love” sounds. All the actors are coming on the stage and sing
the song!)
