Ведущий 1: Before you flip your calendar
To start a New year bright,
                     Reflect for just a moment
                     The year that ends tonight.

Ведущий 2: Ты календарь спешишь перевернуть,
И поскорей все заново начать?
Помедли на мгновенье, не забудь
Год старый, что кончается сейчас.

Ведущий 1: As a rule, at first, Russia celebrates the New Year and then Christmas. Russian people like to celebrate the New Year, this holiday is always noisy and merry. We meet Christmas incalmand family atmosphere.In Britain and America the situation is different. Christmas is celebrated at first and it’s considered to be the main holiday. British people celebrate it the 25 th of December and every year they look forward to this day coming.

Ведущий 2: Как правило, сначала в России принято отмечать Новый год, а уже потом Рождество. Мы любим праздновать Новый Год, в нашей стране он всегда проходит шумно и весело. Рождество в России встречают в спокойной семейной обстановке. В Великобритании и Америки дело обстоит иначе. Сначала они встречают Рождество. Именно Рождество в Великобритании и Америки является основным праздником. Его отмечают 25 декабря и каждый год англичане с нетерпением ждут этого дня.

Ведущий 1:New Year and Christmas coming is often associated with magic and fairy-tales. The children have been preparing for them for the whole term and today they are ready to demonstrate their talent, artistry and the knowledge of the language.

Ведущий 2:Часто Новый Год и Рождество ассоциируется у нас с волшебством и сказками. Дети готовились в течение всей четверти и сегодня они готовы продемонстрировать вам свой талант, артистизм и конечно, знания иностранного языка.

Narrator: Once upon a time, there lived an old man and an old woman.They lived in the village of Redkino.)

One day the old man decided to plant a turnip. 

Grandfather: Oh, what a big turnip we have in our kitchen-garden. I want to pull it out.

N.: Pulls the turnip.

Grandfather: One, two, three! It is too big for me.

N.: Calls the Grandmother.

Grandfather: Granny, come here! Help me, please!

N.: The Grandmother is very bright spark. She likes to sing and dance. She never looks sad.

Grandmother: What’s the matter?

Grandfather: Help me, please!

Grandmother: All right, Grandfather.

N.: Grandmother by Grandfather, Grandfather by the turnip.Pull the turnip.

Grf. And Grm.: One, two, three!.. One, two, three!

N.: No result.

Grf. Grm.: Oh, it’s too big for us!

N.: Grandmother calls the Granddaughter.

They have aGranddaughter,Kate by name. She is a very kind girl, she always helps her Grandparents.

Granddaughter: (with skipping-rope):

Over my head and under my toes,
That’s the way my skipping-rope goes,
I can skip slowly, I can skip fast,
Look, my rope is whirling past.

I can count and you? Let’s count with me! I skip one. (зрители считают вместе с ней). I skip two…I skip three…I skip four…I skip five…I skip six…I skip seven…I skip eight…I skip nine…I skip ten. All right.

Grandmother:Granddaughter,Granddaughter, come here, help us, please!

Granddaughter: All right, Granny. I’m coming.

N.: Granddaughter by Grandmother, Grandmother by Grandfather,Grandfather by the Turnip. Pull the turnip.

Grf. Grm. Grd.: One, two, three!.. One, two, three!

N.: No result.

Grf. Grm. Grd.: Oh, it’s too big for us!

N.: Granddaughter calls the dog.

Grd.: Dog, Dog, come here, help us, please!

DOG: I am a dog, my name is Jack.

Wolf: дует на домик из соломы и он разваливается.

Patric:Help! (Патрик бежит к своему брату Питеру)

Wolf: Can I come in, little pigs? I’ m not very big.

Patric and Peter: Go away! You can’t come in. You are a big bad wolf, you horrible thing.

Ведущий 2: Наверное, мы все любим пору каникул, когда мы можем заняться спортом, поплавать в реке или в море, покататься на коньках, на лыжах, поиграть в подвижные игрына свежем воздухе или просто поваляться на солнышке.

Ведущий 1:The 4^thA grade-pupils will show you their love to holidays in the song “I love holidays”. Let’scheerthem!

Ведущий 2: Дорогие гости. Мы надеемся, что вам понравились наши выступления, ведь мы так старались доставить вам радость и удовольствие. Наш праздник подходит к концу. А напоследок мы предлагаем вам спеть песню «WewishyouamerryChristmas”. Слова на экране!

Участники концерта выходят на сцену и поют пеню «Мы желаем вам счастливого рождества». Зрители подпевают. На экране идут слова.
