Тема «Thanksgiving Day»
Форма проведения: командные игры
Цель: развитие и совершенствование лексических
навыков путем включения учащихся в культурное пространство англоязычных стран.
Задачи:
Развивающие:
1) развитие и
совершенствование познавательного интереса.
2) Развивать
межпредметную связь (с историей)
3) Развитие памяти,
внимания, логического мышления
Образовательные:
1) Провести практику
речевой деятельности.
2) Ознакомить с
лексикой по теме “День Благодарения”
Воспитательные:
1) Воспитывать
уважение к истории страны изучаемого языка.
2) Учить работать в
группе
Коммуникативная:
1)
Вовлечение учащихся в
устную и письменную коммуникацию на протяжении всего урока, посредством
различного рода заданий;
2)
Обеспечить многократное
повторение новой лексики, выполняя упражнения
Оборудование: Магнитофон, тематические картины, карточки с
новой лексикой, заданиями, символы праздника, красочная надпись на доске «Thanksgiving Day!»,
благодарственные письма, заранее приготовленные, кроссворд на плакате
Содержание
- Good afternoon, boys and girls! I’m glad to see
you. Sit down, please.
I want to begin with the poem
written by Aileen Fisher “All in a word”.
T – for time to be together,
turkey, talk and tangy weather.
H – for harvest stored away,
home and health and holiday.
A – for autumn frosty art and
abundance in the heart.
N – for neighbours, and
November, nice things, new things to remember.
K – for kitchen, kettles
‘croon, kith and kin expected soon.
S – for sizzles, sights and
sounds, and something special that abounds.
That spells THANKS for joy in
living and a jolly good Thanksgiving.

Do you know the name of this
celebration? (Thanksgiving Day)

Do you know main symbols of
thanksgiving? Look at the blackboard (на доске подсказка в виде картинок) (turkey, pumpkins, corn…)
So,
I think that we can be dividing into 3 groups. (Столы заранее приготовлены для командной работы,
т.е.развернуты друг к другу. Пока дети образуют команды, звучит музыка.)
So,
this group would call …. (Turkey, pumpkins and corn) this is your symbol. The
next group….
At
first you must choose the captain of your group.

task. Your group must draw the symbol of your team and try to describe it.
It’ll be consist of 3 or 5 sentences. Let’s start! (На выполнение дается около 4 минут. Во время
выполнения задания звучит музыка.)

The next task. You must find
couple: noun plus adjective. Let’s start!
(каждая команда получает листок с заданием, во время работы звучит музыка)

The third task. Your team must
collect letters in the right order. But at first I advice you to listen to the
text about Thanksgiving Day.
The fourth Thursday in November is
Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a national holiday, so most people don’t go to
work. People get together with their families and friends to give thanks for
the good things in their lives. Many people travel by plane, train, bus
or car to be with their relatives. More people travel for Thanksgiving
than for any other holiday.
On Thanksgiving Day, families come together for a special dinner.
The family is together for Thanksgiving dinner. They are going to eat turkey,
mashed potatoes and cranberries. They will have pumpkin pie for
dessert. After dinner, the family will relax and talk. Some of them will watch
a football game on TV.
Turkey, corn, pumpkins and cranberry are symbols which
represent the first Thanksgiving. Now all of them are draw on holiday
decoration and greeting cards.

The next task. I`ll give you different cards with poems. You can spend 2-3 minutes, after that you group must show us the science (данное задание выполняется на основе заранее
выданных листов со стихотворением)

9. Thanksgiving Day is
a public holiday which is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November by the
Americans.
This is a day for
family reunions. Thanks are offered in the churches for the blessings of the
year, and at home. Thanksgiving is also national entertainments as Thanksgiving
Day Parade and a professional football game broadest on TV.
In this day families
are come together for a special dinner. Everyone giving thanks to God, the
country, family and to each other.
So,
I think that we can say “Thank you!” to each other, too. All together: “Thank
you!”
And
now I’ll give you greeting cards where you can write : Thank you….for….
