Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку в 9 классах

игра «I know everything». 

Цель игры: развивать неподготовленную речь учащихся, обобщить знания учащихся, полученные на уроках английского языка.

Задачи: закрепить знания учащихся, развивать умение работать в коллективе и принимать совместное     решение; развивать положительные личностные качества; воспитывать уважение к культуре своей страны и стран изучаемого языка.

Оформление кабинета: на доске название игры «I know everything», правила игры, квадрат с цифрам, перечень конкурсов, раздаточный материал.

Ход занятия.

I.                   Ор.момент. Приветствие ведущего.

Teacher: Good afternoon, children and our guests! I’m very glad to see you here. Now we’ll organize a competition called " I know everything”. It’s time to introduce yourselves. Who is the captain of the 1st team?

P1: I’m the captain of the team. The name of our team is "     ”.

Teacher: Who is the captain of the 2nd team?

P2: I’m the captain of the team. The name of our team is "     ”. (Состав команд, их названия определяются заранее).

Teacher: Today all of you have a good chance to improve your English during the game. I have invited a competent jury to count the points. The members of our jury are …..

Now I’m going to teach you how to play this game. The game has 11 contests, they are:

1. Flags

2. The ABC game.

3. A magic 5.

4. Parts and wholes.

5. Proverbs and sayings.

6. Hobbies

7. Inventions and discoveries

8.Make the words

   Well, I wish you success. Be active, honest and helpful!

II.                Основной этап.

But first of all, a warming up. “Who is quicker?” Your task is to guess the word quicker than others. Ready, steady, go!!!

1. The first day of the week…

9. Eight plus one is…

(Answers: Sunday, yellow, water, run, November, red, dog, garden, nine, elephant, tulip, pupils.)

Teacher: And now we come to the 1st contest of the game called "The ABC game”. Kids, you’ll get some letters from the English alphabet. You must put the letters in the right order, so as to get the name of the English-speaking country. You have 1 minute at your disposal. Each team can get 5 points.

(Карточки с буквами: 1. Е, N, G, L, A, N, D.        2. A, M, E, R, I, C, A) .

And now you must guess a scrambled word. Разгадай слово. Каждая цифра соответствует порядковому номеру буквы в алфавите, например А-1, В-2 и т.д.

Who will be the first will be winner in this contest.

2. And now we come to the 2nd contest which is called "A magic 5”. Look at the square, each team will take turns in answering questions. You’ll choose any number.   Captains will have an opportunity to choose the number. (Капитан выбирает номер задания, и команда отвечает) 

You can get 5 points for the right answer.

Дети быстро и весело отвечают на вопросы, члены команды помогают друг другу, если вытягивается номер 5, команда просто получает 5 очков.

3. Teacher: The 3rd contest is called "Parts and wholes”. I need 1 pupil from each team. You should combine these parts so as to get a popular name. Who will be the first? You can get 1 point for each right answer.

5. Teacher: Our next contest is called "Proverbs and sayings”. Each team will get a list of words. You should rearrange the words so as to make up a proverb. You have 2 minutes.

(Обе команды получают одинаковый набор слов, из которых должны получиться 3 английские пословицы).

1. Better late than never.

2. Two heads are better than one.

3. East or West home is best.

6. Teacher: Our next contest is called "Hobbies”. I want you to listen to my stories. I shall describe different hobbies. You can see the numbers of the hobbies on the blackboard and you will use the cards with the numbers on your desks.

Учитель зачитывает небольшие рассказы - описание различных хобби. Ученик, прослушав рассказ, поднимает табличку с номером - названием хобби. Если ответ ученика правильный, то он получает звездочку.

На доске:

1 - cooking

2 - gardening

3 - sport

4 - reading

5 - collecting

Ключи:

1. This hobby is popular among the people of all ages. People like to go the stadium or to the sports ground. They are strong and cheerful. Their hobby helps them to develop their mind and body and teaches them to plan their time. (Sport.)

2. This hobby is interesting and useful. People try to find or buy different things such as stamps, badges, coins, pictures, dolls, etc. Their collections can be thematic. This hobby helps people to make new friends and to learn some new things about countries and lands, animals and birds, famous people and historical events. (Collecting.)

3. People like to work in the garden and to spend some time in the fresh air. They are fond of flowers, bushes, trees and different kinds of plants. They like nature and admire the beauty of nature. Their hobby is the best way to relax. (Gardening.)

4. People like to make new dishes. They often cook for the family and for their friends. They can present the food nicely and lay the table beautifully. They use spices (vinegar, oil, pepper, etc.) They can boil or fry meat, fish, chicken and make sauсes and desserts. (Cooking.)

5. People like to go to the library. Some of them have a good collection of books at home. And they are really proud of it. They can have different books: fiction, historical novels, books about animals and birds, books about different countries. Their hobby helps then to relax, to learn the world and understand other people better. (Reading.)

7. Teacher: One more contest. It’s called " Inventions and discoveries”. You should answer my questions. The team which answers  the first and correctly wins. You can get 1 point for each right answer.

3. Who invented the car? ( H. Ford)

4. Who created Donald Duck? ( W. Disney)

III.             Заключительный этап. Подведение итогов игры.
