children, Christmas is the biggest and the most loved holiday in Great Britain.
Jane: I enjoy the Christmas
season very much.
Bill: So do I.
Sam: It is the time of
warmth, love, hospitality and good will…
Mother: That’s right… On Christmas
we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, who was very kind and loved children
very much.
Jane: I know that the
Christmas story comes from the Bible
(Раздаётся дверной звонок).
Mother: One moment,
please, children.
(Мама идёт к двери, открывает её, дети
украшают ёлку).
Mother: Oh, John, it’s
lovely that you’ve come from your business trip to Kazakhstan for Christmas! We
have been waiting for you.
Father: Hello, darling.
(Снимает пальто, вешает его).
You know that coming home for Christmas is the most
cherished tradition of the holiday season. And no matter where you may be the

must.

Daddy.
I’m

the Christmas tree is. You have decorated it fantastically…
Jane: Daddy, will Santa
Claus bring us presents?
Father: Well, the spirit
of Christmas comes to the houses with Santa Claus.
Mother: He drives his
sleigh over the rooftops and slides down the chimneys to fill the children’s
stockings…
Father: … but only if…
Bill: … only if what?
Father: Only if they are
good little children.
Jane: And what about
me? Have I been good?
Father: Yes, you’re all
good, children.
Bill, Sam, Jane (хором):
Hooray!
(Дети подходят к камину и вешают чулки).
