Theme: Thank you English
Aims:
1.
Practical aim: to improve English speech, to discuss with class in
English. To practice with new words and to use them in the talking.
2.
Educational aim: to immerse the children in the atmosphere of the
foreign language, to consolidate the vocabulary and start the developing of the
student’s skills in pronunciation and speaking, to teach them to work in
groups. Learning the full courses of country study.

Welcome
to competition lesson of students of the second course specialty of
“Translation proficiency”.
We
are glad to meet everybody here, at our competition of two teams of students
who are very clever and quick-witted and they know English very well and they
want to prove it.
The
citation said by the President of our Republic Nursultan Nazarbayev Abishevich
can be a slogan or epigraph for today’s competition.
“Қазақстан бүкіл әлемде халқы үш тілді
пайдаланатын мәдениетті ел ретінде танылуға тиіс. Бұлар: қазақ тілі –
мемлекеттік тіл, орыс тілі- ұлтаралық тіл және ағылшын тілі – жаһандық
экономикаға ойдағыдай кірігу тілі.”
Today
it is evident that everyone should know at least one foreign language. The
knowledge of foreign language also helps young people of different countries to
develop friendship.
English
is the one of the number one language in the world.
You
learn English second year at this college. You can speak, think, read, write in
English, you know it although little bit.
That’s
why we called today’s competition “Thank you English”.
This
competition lesson is between 2 groups. As you know they are 11.11.21 and
11.11.22.

so, I will introduce you the stages of competition. This lesson is the result
of full subjects Countrystudy. We have learned this subject in the 1st
part of educational year. And you must appear yourselves.

Let’s start as the English proverb “Well begun is half
done”, the 1st stage is
1.
Greetings
Every team must introduce themselves, your motto. You
can show your introduction with presentation or with any cards and etc.
So, we invite the 1st team. And 2nd
team. Good luck!
A good beginning makes a good ending. Thanks teams.
2.
A man who ignorant of
foreign languages is also ignorant of his own languages.
In this stage every team must choose the number from
the table. There are interesting questions in English, but not according the
English speaking countries. You must give exact answer. Every answer will mark
with 10 point.

time in one minute. (Indian girl during the danse)
3. Look at the picture and find what it means? (what,
where, when)
4. OO-words
Try to remember the words. There are only four letters
in them but they all have double – o.

It is not bad (good)
You eat it (food).
3. Riddles for captains.
As you understand, in this stage we will check up the
knowledge of captains.
Every correct answer will mark with 10 points.

This stage is the most important for you. Because
there are checking up your knowledge of countrystudy. You must choose the
question from the table and every of them have different points.

You are very clever and of course talented. Now the teams
show us their home task.

We are feeling sad because it’s time we said goodbye
to each other. But not for ever, we hope. So let our melancholy be right, as
Pushkin said, “My sorrows bright”.
