Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку.

Тема: Популярные праздники некоторых стран

Цели: обобщение, систематизация страноведческих знаний учащихся о традициях празднования популярных праздников в стране изучаемого языка и других странах мира.

Задачи мероприятия:

Воспитательная:

·        воспитывать интерес к изучению предмета.

·        воспитывать инициативность и активность,

·        воспитывать уважение к культуре и традициям других народов,

·        воспитывать культуру общения, нравственное отношение к своей стране,

·        воспитывать настойчивость и упорство в достижении цели,

·        воспитывать чувство уважения  друг к другу.

Развивающая:

·  развивать творческие способности учащихся,

·  развивать коммуникативно-игровые способности у учащихся,

·  развивать языковую догадку, смекалку,

·  развивать и тренировать внимание, память, мышление.

Образовательная:

·        формирование страноведческих, социокультурных знаний,

·        расширение кругозора учащихся.

       Практическая:

·        развивать умения понимать иностранную речь на слух,

·        развивать лексико-грамматические навыки учащихся в рамках предложенной темы,

Оснащение:

-          компьютер,

-        интерактивная доска,

-        проектор,

-        СD диски с музыкой.

Good afternoon dear boys and girls! Good afternoon dear guests!

Everybody knows a famous fairy tale “12 months” by Russian writer Marshak («12 месяцев» С.Я. Маршак). It is wonderful story about all seasons gathered around a fire. And today, as in this fairy-tale, we gather together around the fire. But our guests today are not the months. Who are they? They are children from different countries.

We are used to celebrate holidays turn be turn all year round. But today these children will give us a chance to enjoy their favorite holidays all together.  So, the magic begins…

“Maslyanitsa”

We want to tell you about Maslyanitsa (which means “butter” in Russian) – the Russian traditional carnival. It is celebrated to welcome the spring. The traditional dish for “Maslyanitsa” is big round hot pan-cakes with butter. Pancakes symbolize the sun. The more butter (or honey, caviar, other delicious things) put on pancake, the hotter the sun is expected to be in the coming summer. We make a dummy of winter, sing songs dance and play different games, and in the end of the festival we burn it to say good bye to the winter.

In our school we celebrate this holiday with funny competition and games. We like it very much.    

Would you like to learn how to make Russian pancakes? It’s not difficult. Here is the task for you.

Hi, everybody! We are from the USA!

   “Thanksgiving Day”

There is one day a year when all Americans stay home with their families, and eat big dinner. This is Thanksgiving Day. This holiday came to us from that time when first pilgrims sailed to America from Britain.

         The pilgrims’ first winter in the New World was very difficult. Without fresh food half of them died. The following spring the Indians taught the pilgrims how to hunt, fish, plant and survive in America. Pilgrims were thankful. They prepared a dinner of turkey, corn, beans and pumpkins, and invited their Indian friends to share this feast. Americans still celebrate Thanksgiving Day in the fall on the 4^th Thursday in November. Turkey is still the main dish and pumpkin pie is the most popular dessert. This holiday is a good chance to say “thank you” to your friends and members of your family.

When we gather together we like to play the game: “Pass the parcel”. We’d like to play it now with you. There are 4 parcels for your groups. When you hear the music you should pass the parcel. When the music stops you can open one wrap.

Учащиеся передают по кругу посылку под музыку, когда музыка прекращается, тот, у кого оказалось посылка, разворачивает первый слой. И так до тех пор, пока не снимут все слои. Тот кто снимет последний слой, тому и достается приз).

Hello, boys and girls! We came from Canada! We would like to tell you about our holiday – “Halloween”

“Halloween”

This festival celebrates the return of the souls of dead(души умерших) who come back to visit places where they lived.

At the evenings there are a lot of Halloween parties. People dress up as witches, skeletons, ghosts, devils or black cats.

Some houses are decorated with pumpkins with the candle inside.

Lamp Jack – or Jack O’Lantern - one of the most famous and terrible characters of the holiday. There is an Irish legend about a man named Jack, the old farmer, gambler (игрок) and alcoholic. He had twice cheated (обманул) the devil, and after his death could not go either to heaven( ни в рай) - because of his terrible life, or hell (ни в ад) - because the devil did not take away his soul.

Some children and not only children play a game “Trick or treat”. People wear costumes of different wickedness, go from home to home  and ask for candy  and  other sweets. They knock at the door of your house and say: “Trick or treat”. If you give them some “treat” they will go away. If not, they can play a “trick” on you!

“Christmas”

Good afternoon, boys and girls! We came from different countries - Great Britain and Australia. Our favorite holiday is Christmas!

Christmas in Australia happens in summer. Because of the summer, the atmosphere of Christmas is special. We are usually outdoors in shorts and T-shirts, having a barbecue and build sand-castles rather than a snowman. Christmas for us is sunshine, surf and sand, although to many Europeans this may seem strange.

Oh, yes! It seems strange.

At Christmas in Britain we remember when Jesus Christ was born. We start to get ready for Christmas in late October or early November. Decorated shops get very busy and stay open later. Traditional Christmas colors are red and green. In the middle of December, most families buy Christmas trees and put colorful decorations on them. We send cards to friends and family.

We have parties at school and our parents have parties at work. But we usually spend Christmas night at home with our family.

We leave stockings for Santa Claus when we go to bed. Next day on December 25^th we wake up early to see what Santa put for us.

         В конце своего выступления каждая группа учащихся, которая рассказывала о празднике, дарит страничку с информацией об этом   празднике. Т.о. получается небольшая книга «Традиции разных стран», которая в дальнейшем будет пополняться.
