Warm- up:

Lets repeat alphabet. I’ll give you letters, you should make up words from this letters.

         The theme of our lesson today is «What nice the weather! ». People speak about weather every day. They like to speak about it in England too. The weather is so changeable there so the English often say “We have no climate”. The English also say that they have three variants of weather: when it rains in the afternoon, when it rains in the morning and when it rains all day long. Sometime it rains so heavily that they say ‘It’s raining cats and dogs’. But the weather is not so dreadful in England. There are four seasons in the year. What seasons are there in the year? Who knows?



Weather, season – ауа райы, жыл мезгілі

What is the weather like today? Бүгін ауа райы қандай?

Is it cold? Бүгін күн суық па?

Yes, it is. Ия суық.

 No, it is not. Жоқ суық емес.

What is the season now? (Қазір қай жыл мезгілі?)

 It is autumn. (Күз).

 It is winter. (Қыс).

 It is spring. (Көктем).

 It is summer. (Жаз).

V.               Practice:

“Sun Rays.”

I’ll give you cards with different words, you must find words which connect with weather then put them near the sun.

 “Describing seasons”

A pupil from each group come to the board then I put picture on back of pupil.

Look at the board here you see text. Let’s read the text.

“Seasons and Weather”   

Everyone knows that there are four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn and winter. Each of them lasts 3 months. Spring comes in March and ends in May. It often rains in spring, especially in April. Summer is the hottest season in the year. It begins in June and ends in August. In summer the sky is clear and cloudless. The days are long and the nights are short and warm. Summer brings fruits and vegetables. It is pleasant to spend this season by the seaside or somewhere in the country. Autumn months are September, October and November. The days are becoming shorter, the sun loses its force. It often rains. It is the season of harvesting. Winter lasts three month as well: December, January and February. It is getting colder day by day. The sun shines rarely and it snows often. But everything looks so pretty covered with snow. So in every season there are bright and dark sides. But we must be thankful together whatever the weather.

 I throw paper with the theme of this text to one pupil. He must make up one question about this text then throw to another pupil then this pupil to another and so on. At the end of game I read the questions, pupils should answer to them.

F/ex:       1. How many seasons are there in a year?

              2. How long does each month last?

              3. What is the hottest season?

              4. What are autumn months?

 5. What are winter months?

 6. What is the weather like in each season?

                   7. Can we see snow in summer?

VI.          Production:

“Weather forecast”

Let’s imagine that you are forecast man. So you should draw weather forecast for tomorrow then explain it for as.

 

“Comparing seasons”

So, children every season is differ from each other. Let`s compare them. (Pictures ).

         “My favorite Season.”

I give questions or answers to each pupil. A pupil who has question read his question, a pupil who has right answer to this question read his answer.

1. What seasons are there in the year?

(4. Summer, autumn, winter, spring)

2. What are spring month?

(March, April, May)

3. Can we see snow in summer?

(No, we can’t see snow in summer)

4. What games do we play in winter?

( Skiing, curling, bobsledding, ice skating, snowboarding, hockey)

VII.      Conclusion:

To conclude of our lesson, I give you paper, you should write your opinion about lesson.

VIII. Home task:

Write down essay to the theme “My favorite Season.”

IX.          Marks

 

The lesson is over.
