WWF began its work in Russia in 1988, with a project to protect the nature of the Lower Volga.
During ten years more than 150 projects have been implemented. They opened offices in those regions that are most important for nature conservation and invited the best local specialists to collaborate with them. They determine WWF’s success in Russia.
