2. The Houses of Parliament are in Westminster in London. King Canute built a royal palace here in the first half of the eleventh century and there were meetings of the English parliament here from the thirteenth century. In 1605, some young Catholic men decided to destroy the Houses of Parliament and kill the Protestant King James I. They got some gunpowder and put it in a cellar under Westminster Palace. But the King discovered the plan and on 5th November, he sent soldiers to the building. They found one man, Guy Fawkes, and they executed him. Презентация составлена для закрепления материала по страноведению в 10 классе. Был проведен КВН между двумя командами профильного уровня.
Презентация составлена по щелчку, т.к. это удобно при введении каждого вида задания. За каждый правильный ответ команды получают 1 балл. Баллы выдаются в виде звезд, вырезанных из цветного картона, которые ведущий дает после каждого правильного ответа. В конце игры команды отдают жюри свои звезды, жюри их подсчитывает. В задания входят, практически, все виды речевой деятельности: аудирование, чтение, говорение и письмо. Ведущий начинает игру. Читает задание и после того, как команда посовещается и напишет ответ на доске просит показать свои ответы жюри, по сигналу, одновременно.
1. Вначале, как обычно разминка для команд в виде вопросов на соответствие.
2. Затем задание по грамматике с использованием пройденного материала.
3. После этого задание на заполнение пропусков с выбором одного из предложенных вариантов ответов.
4. Следующее задание на развитие устной речи путем ответов на вопросы по теме презентации. 5. Затем задание на развитие навыков и умений по чтению. Учащиеся, сначала одной команды, затем другой команды читают вслух друг за другом предложенные тексты, после которых отвечают на вопросы правда или неправда.
6. Далее следует конкурс капитанов, где предлагается представить сообщение об одном из великих людей Британии, которых изучили ранее на уроках английского языка и на уроках по страноведению.
7. После конкурса капитанов, командам раздается распечатанная таблица, которую они должны заполнить и затем отдать членам жюри.
8. Пока команды работают с таблицами, в это время проводится конкурс болельщиков,который также может принести дополнительные баллы своим командам.За каждый правильный ответ болельщики также получают звезды от ведущего. Затем, эти звезды приплюсовываются к той команде чей болельщик ответил. В заключении, жюри подсчитывает баллы и заработанные звезды. Заранее готовятся грамоты, в которые жюри заносит подсчитанные баллы и объявляет команду победительницу.
