Good morning, pupils. Take your seats. Who’s on duty today? What season is it now? What day is it today? What date is it today?
The subject to be discussed at our lesson today is the house we live in. Look at the board. You can see a proverb.
Let’s read «East or West home is best”. What does it mean? Translate it into Russian, please. What other proverbs do you know about home? Men make house, women make home, There’s no place like home. Home, sweet home. Without master a house is an orphan. English man’s house is his castle. At home even the walls help. Thank you. Very nice.

When we speak about rooms or a house we use structures there is or there are. We use there is with noun in the singular. We use there are with plural nouns. Look at the board. You can see three sentences. Tick the correct sentence. Translate. Good for you.
