The Theme of the lesson: Places and directions

The aims of the lesson: To check pupil’s knowledge, to teach oral comprehension of

the language, to teach expressing the opinion, to give more

information about names of places and directions. To teach

to understand the text for listening, to develop

communicative skills. To use the grammar of present simple.

Type of the lesson: Introduction of new material

Methods of teaching: perception aspect

Materials: the interactive board, the presentation on Buckingham palace

Good afternoon, dear teachers and pupils. How are you? I hope well. Today we have an unusual lesson. Our work will be very interesting and useful. We will speak about famous buildings and do many different interesting exercises.

Buckingham Palace is one of the most famous buildings in the world. Thousands of tourists come to see it every year; it is one of the top three tourists attractions in London. England is not is big as Kazakhstan. In 1994 British people went to the Palace for the first time.

Buckingham Palace is in the very centre of London. The Palace is one of the four homes of the Royal Family. The Royal Family also have another home just outside London, at Windsor Castle. The weather in England is never hot or very cold. It is also the place where the Queen meets important visitors such as kings, queens or presidents from other countries.

Buckingham Palace is like a small village. There is a police station, hospital, a bar, two sport clubs, a disco, a cinema and a swimming pool. There six hundred people work there.
