Тема урока: «Компьютеры: друзья или
враги?».
Цель урока: развитие речевого умения.
Задачи урока:

Развивать умение слушать собеседника;
·
Развивать умение оценивать чужую точку
зрения;
·
Развивать умение высказывать своё мнение.
Оборудование урока: презентация Power Point,
письма, маркеры, листы А3.
Ход урока:
1. Приветствие.
2. Объяснение
целей и задач урока.
Today we’ll talk about computers.
Some people say that computers are of great help, others insist they do harm to
their users’ health. We’ll try to decide for ourselves if computers are our
friends or foes.
3. Упражнение
на проверку сформированности лексических навыков по теме.
Speaking about computers, we can’t but
mention how they work. So, let’s see if you know the computer’s parts well.
Label the pictures. (слайды 2-7)
4. Вопросно-ответное
упражнение (проверка знания компьютерных терминов).
Computers are not only some boxes or
devices; it’s much more interesting what is inside them.
I’ll ask you the questions and you’ll
choose words from this slide. (Слайд 8)

programs provide colorful pictures and sound?

5. Упражнение
«мозговой штурм» - высказывания учащихся об использовании компьютеров. (Слайд
9)
6. Выступление
экспертов по проблеме данного урока. Класс разделить на 4 группы: 1-
программисты, 2- заботливые мамы, 3- врачи, 4- психологи. Группы готовят свое
выступление (на А3 – схемы или рисунки или таблицы или коллаж на усмотрение
учащихся).
Необходимо разработать
критерии по оцениванию и напомнить правило работы в группе (можно написать на
доске). Далее защита,
дискуссия.
Now we are ready for our discussion.
We’ve know much about computers but the questions still remains. Are computers
our friends or foes? I’ll introduce you our guests, listen to their points of view
attentively, make notes and then you’ll have an opportunity to add something,
agree or disagree and express your own opinion.
7. Высказывание
остальных учащихся по проблеме.
You’ve heard different points of
view. Now you can say whose opinion you share or express your own point of
view.
8. Подведение
итогов беседы.
So, the situation in our groups is
not bad. You have a strong will to control the amount of time you spend in
front of the computer. For you, computers are rather friends than foes.
9. Работа
с письмом.
For some people computer addiction
has become a real problem. Psychologists receive a lot of letters with asking
for help. Here is one of them. Read the letter and find the symptoms of
computer addiction. Слайд 10
Dear Mr. Shishchuk.
I’m writing for help. I’m only 14,
but I think I’m seriously ill, as I have become a computer addict. Actually, I
have been a computer addict since I was 11. I spend more and more time in front
of my computer. It takes me away from my everyday life duties. I don’t care
about my marks at school any more, and my grades have gone from 3.8 to 1.3 now.
I have been skipping meals. I don’t sleep at night and fall asleep at school.
My back hurts me badly. I have lost track of time. Mum says that I use my
computer much more than necessary and it is not normal, but I can’t control its
use, though I’ve tried to do it. My parents are threatening that they’ll take
my computer away, it drives me mad… Yours, Ben Rogers.

Thank you for your work. We’ve
succeeded in making our decisions. And I can express my point of view: it’s up
to you to decide how to spend your free time but don’t forget about the
symptoms of computer addiction.
