Цель урока: обобщить грамматический и лексический материал по теме “Degrees of Comparison” в английском языке

Задачи урока:

1) Отработка практических навыков образования степеней сравнения

2) Формирование умения строить предложения с прилагательными

3) Развитие навыков аудирования, чтения, письма и говорения

4) Развитие познавательной и мыслительной деятельности

5) Формирование умения работать фронтально, индивидуально и в парах

6) Развитие устойчивого интереса к изучению английского языка

I'm also pleased to see our guests on the lesson.  The weather is very good today and I hope that you`re doing well too. Students, I am sure that you will be very active as usual and we will have a very fruitful lesson today! Now take your seats please, smile and be ready to work hard. Let us go! ●       What date is it today? (Today is the 18th of April.) ●       Great! ●       We will begin with our phonetic training as usual. I say and you repeat after me altogether (См. Приложение 1). (на экране даются прилагательные в 3-х степенях сравнения) ●       Wonderful! ●       Now I ask somebody to come up to the blackboard and provide the same phonetic training for us. Let it be (name). ●       Thank you very much, (name). Good job! ●       We continue. Look at the screen. I have prepared a quiz for you. It's called “What is it or Which is it? Here you can see 5 colourful triangulars. Your task is to choose one. Read the question given to you and answer it. Somebody will continue. (e.g. I choose purple) (См. Приложение 2). What buildings can you see? Name them. (На экране 3 изображения: Empire State Building, Petronas Towers, the Eiffel Tower) ●       In which countries are they situated? ●       Alright. Now open your student's books at page 81. We are going to revise the text “Building Big”. What is it about? (It is about the Empire State Building). You have 30 seconds for revision. ●       Ready? Your task is to describe the Empire State Building using the superlative degree. (The ESB is one of the tallest buildings in NY. The ESB is one of the largest office spaces in the world. The ESB is one of the city's most historic buildings.) ●       Great! Now you will be given a shortened text about this building. You are supposed to complete this text with the adjectives given in the box. Work in pairs (См. Приложение 3). ●       Let us read. ●       Everything is correct! ●       So, we have seen that we use the degrees of comparison to describe what? (Buildings) ●       But we can also use them to describe other sightseeings. Look at the screen. Here you are given three of them. You can see the first part of the names. Try to guess what the second part of this or that name is. (Moscow Zoo, Lake Baikal, Sochi Park) ●       Right you are. Choose one and read the text about it and translate. Somebody will continue. ●       Great! Now look at me! I have got some cards. You choose one. Please be quick. (Каждый вытягивает 1 карточку) Your task is to put the adjectives in brackets in the correct form (См. Приложение 4). ●       Let us read. ●       Alright. The last task. Imagine that you are a travel guide. Hold an excursion for us. 3 people are needed. Use your card to do this. (Ученики выходят к доске и рассказывают про достопримечательности России. Экскурсии сопровождается фотографиями достопримечательностей) ●       Thank you for your brilliant excursions! We have enjoyed them very much.
