Good morning, pupils! I’m glad
to see you! Are you ready to do your best at the lesson? That’s nice of you!
Let’s start working.
First of all, let’s ask some
questions to each other.
Look at the screen here we have
some sounds, let’s remember them and work on our pronunciation.
Let’s read the poem ‘We can
play’.
Look at the poem once again;
can you find words that are suitable for the pictures?
Can you predict what we are going
to speak about today? What is our topic?
Well, today we’ll continue
speaking about different kinds of sport and activities we can do.
We’ll refresh our vocabulary
and grammar; practice our reading and speaking skills.

Students repeat the words and the poem, then match words

To speak about people’s activities
you should know the vocabulary and of course grammar well.
Let’s remember word combinations we
know:
PLAY (football, baseball,
volleyball, badminton, tennis, table tennis, basketball)
Now let’s remember places where we
can play:
PLACE (gym, swimming pool,
stadium, sports ground)
I think we should remember how to
write these words properly, take the sheets of paper that are on your tables
and fill in missing letters.
Exchange your works and check them,
you can see answers on the screen.
Answer my questions: where can
you play football/basketball/tennis/swim?
Mind the use of the prepositions!

Everybody likes doing sport
very much, we all like to go to the sports clubs and play games there . Now
we are going to read the text about one girl Tanyaby name and her family.
Turn over the page and look at
the exercise 4. Let’s read it and get to know some more informations about
this girl.
Now can you tell me what her
father and her mother like to play?
What can her brother do?
What can she play?
Now I’d like you to work in
groups.
You all will get a set of
sentences about Tanya’s family, but the sentences are not finished, firstly
you should complete sentences with am/is/are; have/has; can/can’t . Then the
first group should read sentences with am/is/are; the second with have/has;
the third with can/can’t.
You’ve got 1 minutes to do this
task.

vocabulary: revise words gym, stadium, swimming pool, sports ground for the
dictation;
b)
grammar: revise grammar table p.104
Make
up 5 sentences about the members of your family, what can or can’t they do.
Do it in writing
You
can prepare presentations with pictures or real photos.
