the aim of our lesson is to speak about the nervous system.
Our
tasks for today are:

listen to the text about nervous system

learn the parts of the nervous system.

make up a quiz about the nervous system.

your books on page 40 and look at the pictures. What does our nervous system
consist of? What function does it have?
Now
look at exercise 1. Read the text quickly and match the headings to the
paragraphs. You have 5 minutes.

close the text and look only at the pictures. Listen to the text and write down
5 new things you have learnt about the nervous system.
What
new information have you learnt?
1 The
nervous system consists of the brain, the spinal cord and a network of nerves.
2 The
brain works as the “central computer” for the nervous system.
3 The
biggest part of the brain is called the cerebrum.
4 The
brain contains about a billion nerve cells.
5 The
Thalamus carries messages to the sensory organs.
Look
through the text again and say which part of the nervous system:
