Topic: “Restaurant. Customers servicing."

Objects :

1. communicative function - formation of communicative competence using knowledge in a real situation;

2.General education function-formulation of the initial linguistic competence-acquaintance with the culture of the studied language;

3. educational function-formation of respect for other people, their traditions;

4. developmental function-associated with the intellectual and moral development of the student.

The main goal – the formation of communicative competence, all other goals are implemented in the implementation of this main goal.

Predicted result

·         creation of conditions for cultural creativity in the cultural enrichment of speech practice;

·         development of students' socio-cultural competence, which helps to navigate the achievements of culture and communicative norms of communication, in the selection of culturally appropriate forms of interaction with people from English-speaking countries in intercultural communication;

·         The educational goal of the lesson continues to work on the socio-cultural development of students by means of a foreign language, based on socio-cultural knowledge and skills that students required at the future profession.

The proposed material of the lesson can improve the level of knowledge, skills and abilities of students, contributes to the development of their worldview and increase the level of educational motivation.

Procedure

I.Greeting.

Teacher: Good afternoon students, our guests. I’m glad you to see. Sit! Today we will have an unusual lesson.

Topic presentation.

Look around and try to guess about what we will talk.

Students:

- The café

- About food

- About the restaurant

Teacher: you all are right. We’ll talk about visiting cafés / restaurants

 Topic: “Restaurant. Customers servicing."

What do you think is our aim? What will we do? What do we need for it?

By the end of the lesson  you should able to make a conversation  between a customer and a waiter.

II. Warm up. The brainstorm.

What associations have you hearing the words a cafe / a restaurant?

T: Who are the main persons in the café?

T: Yes, they are. And today we’ll study to serve customers, to talk about types of food and remind little grammar.

III.  Work in pairs. Look at the expressions, compare and discuss which menu you prefer and why. Use the following words and expressions to help you.
