                                                  Класс: 7  Б

Тема: «Gadget madness (Помешаны на электронике)».

Цель урока: организовать деятельность учащихся по изучению ЛЕ по теме            «Помешанные на гаджетах» и  их первичному закреплению в речевой деятельности; создать условия для проявления индивидуальности познавательной активности ученика.

Задачи урока:

Образовательные:

-совершенствование чтения с выборочным извлечением нужной или интересующей информации.

-активизация введенной лексики по теме «Gadget madness (Помешаны на электронике)»;

-совершенствование умений говорения учащихся (монологической и диалогической речи) по теме; овладение умениями общаться на изучаемом языке.

Развивающие:

-развивать память и внимание учащихся;

- формирование умений оценивать полученную информацию, выражать свое мнение;

-комментировать те или иные факты, устанавливать логическую последовательность основных фактов текста,   определять тему.

Воспитательные:

-способствовать формированию интереса к изучению культуры стран изучаемого языка;

-развитие умений работать в коллективе;

P:  We are going to talk about a computer, a laptop, mobile phone, MP3, a camera, laptop, i-Pad.

Yes, you are right, today we’ll speak about gadgets. And I think that all of us have gadgets and we depend of them. We can’t do without an Internet, a mobile, a laptop... Face-to-face communication is changed to on-line communication.

T: You know, we use different gadgets every day, don’t we?

P: Yes, sure.

T: Nowadays every modern pupil should know how to use electronic gadgets. And it’s true that technology plays a big role in learning today. Do you agree with me?

P: Yes, of course.

T: We watch TV, listen to music, play computer games, surf the Net… It’s a big part of our every day life. Someone can’t live without modern gadgets. That’s why the topic of our lesson is “Gadget madness”.

Ok, now we know the names of gadgets So, mobiles, MP3 player, digital camera, laptop..  but what can we do with them? T: What are these gadgets  used for?

You have some cards with the new words on your desks. The task is to match the gadgets with their usage – what can we do with them? For example (пример на слайде). Will you, please, make sentences with them? T: Now answer my question.

What do USB, SMS, IDSL mean? Look at our presentation. Today I’ll try to learn you the meaning of high tech abbreviations.  In the right column you can see some abbreviations of gadgets, please, read them. In the left column you can see the meaning of these abbreviations. So, match them.

There are also such words as iPhone, iPod, iPad. But nobody knows meaning of these abbreviations. On the one opinion the letter «i» means individual , on the other internet. But the company, which created them keeps the secret.

T:  So,  each group has its own gadget on the table.  What is it? Now we have the list of advantages and disadvantages of gadgets.  Please, read and translate them.

Now I’ll give you the red cards for advantages and the blue ones for disadvantages of your gadgets.    You should write only one positive or negative oppinion on the card.  You can use only 4 cards. There are some variants: 4 with advantages ...Use these word combinations or your own ones.  

Look we have the scales, on the one bowl we put advantages of using gadgets. On the other bowl we put disadvantages. Please,  the 1 group, one by one, name advantages and disadvantages of ... ...please put them on the scales.

High-tech TEENS

Teenagers spend a lot of time in their bedrooms hanging out with their friends, but their bedrooms have changed a lot in the past few years. Children used to have teddy bears, dolls, sports equipment, tape recorders and board games there.

Nowadays, these traditional toys are forgotten and innovations such as MP3 music players and computer games are more popular instead.

Social tests showed that seven out of ten British teens have a TV in their room and six out of ten have a games console. More than half the children have a DVD player or a Hi-Fi system, while around one in three have a digital music player (MP3) or a personal computer (PC), and 10% of teens have digital TV.

It’s not surprising that all these gadgets cost about 2000 pounds. But how do the children pay for it? Well, some of them receive their high-tech goods as Christmas or birthday presents. Others save their pocket money or earn the money through working.

However, parents understand that these high-tech gadgets are the big part of their modern life.
