Good morning? Dear friends! I’m glad to see you. I hope everybody is
nice! Sit down. Look at the pictures. What can you see?

So, you can say what the theme of our lesson is?

The theme of our lesson is theatre.

Theatre –What is the greatest
theatre in Moscow?

It
is one of the oldest and biggest theatres in Russia. .
The first
building of the Bolshoi Theatre was built in 1776. Prince Peter Urusov received
the greatest pleasure of Empress Catherine 11 and formed the first troupe of
Moscow Russian Theatre. His theatre was burned down
before it was opened.

architect Joseph Bovet in 1825

8) The theatre is called “Bolshoi” not only because of its size, but because of
its great contribution to the development of the classical opera and ballet.

by M. Glinka, “Boris Godunov” by M. Musorgsky, “Prince Igor” by A. Borodin,
etc.) and ballets (“Swan Lake” by P. Tchaikovsky, etc.) were staged.

re-opened with a concert featuring international artists and the ballet and
opera companies.

at page 103 and do exercise 18 .Firstly divide into three groups. You have
to make up the topic about the Bolshoi Theatre. .
Answer:
The
greatest Russian theatre is The Bolshoi Theatre. It is situated in the centre
of Moscow. It’s in Theatre Square. This is a beautiful building with columns
and the interior is brightly decorated. There is a fountain in front of it. The
theatre has opera and ballet companies. They are world – famous and
travel a lot abroad.
