The theme of the lesson: My school day.

Aims:

Educational: to teach pupils new lexis according the theme;

Developing: to develop pupils’ listening, reading, writing and speaking skills;

Bringing-up: to teach pupils respect each other, to teach to work in pairs and in group.

Procedure of the lesson:

2	Checking up homework 3min	T: Your home task was ex.14;p.72. Pupils present their ideal school.
3	Warm-up. 5min	Read the proverb and find Kazakh and Russian equivalent.  «Knowledge is a power», «Күш – білімде», «Знание есть и сила» What other proverbs аbout kowledge do you know? 1) Live and learn. 2) Knowledge is a treasure, but practice is the key to it. 3) It is never too late to learn. 4) Work smart, not hard. 5) Knowledge is no burden. 6) To know everything is to know nothing. 7) Knowledge in youth is wisdom in age. 8) Knowledge is a power. Teacher gives smiles for every proverb. There are letters in the back of the every smile. When pupils turn over smile they see today’s theme “My School day”
4	Presentation. 15min	Pupils watch video “School subjects”(2:23) and pronounce words correctly. Then they write down words in the vocabulary. Pupils watch video “My favorite subject”(1:00). T: What question did the boy ask another? (Children answer.) So let’s try to make dialogue. Make short dialogue. - What’s your favourite subject? -My favourite subject is P.E. And what’s your favourite subject? - My favourite subject is Math. Roleplay. Children replay the dialogue.
5	Practice. 5min	Group work. Pupils divided into three groups (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) and each group has to describe their school day on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Teacher gives pupils papers and they draw pictures on it. Teacher gives them 3 minutes. Each group defends its projects.
6	Production. 10min	Listen to the text. -Every day I have 6 subjects. Look at my time-table: there are Maths, English, History, Handicraft, Physical Education, Computing, Nature Study and Music. -What do you have today? -Maths, English, History and PE. The lessons begin at 8.30 and finish at a quarter past one. -But what do you do at your lessons? -We read books, write compositions and dictations, learn poems and rules, count, sing songs and play. -You have a big bag. Why? -It’s my schoolbag: It’s full of text-books, copy-books, notebooks. There are pens, pencils, a sharpener, an eraser, paints and a ruler in it, too. Look these are my classmates. And this is my desk. Here I sit. -Eric, Who is that woman? -Where? At the blackboard? She is our teacher. Well, Max. The lesson is beginning. Let’s meet at the break. -What is it, a break? -Between the lessons we have 5-10 minutes to have a rest. -OK. I’ll wait. Is the following sentences true or false? 1)Eric has five subjects every day.
