Цель: развитие и поддержание интереса учащихся к
иностранному языку.
Задачи:
Образовательные:
-систематизация и обобщение знаний страноведческого
материала;
-повышение уровня практических навыков говорения, аудирования,
чтения;
-повышение уровня грамматических навыков;
-расширение кругозора.
Воспитательные:
-воспитывать чувство взаимопомощи и внимания друг к другу;
-формировать у учащихся умения сравнивать, преодолевать
трудности, самостоятельно мыслить.

1) This
is the beautiful home of every President, except the first president. It is the
oldest public building in Washington, D.C., and it has the most famous address
in the United States – 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. It consist of 132 rooms. (the

is a monument. It is 555 feet tall and provides a panoramic view of Washington,

the mistress of this building is at home, the Royal Standard is flying. Every

was the first person to be elected the President of the United States. He was
born in Virginia, just south of Washington, D.C. He grew up on a large farm. He
went to school for about eight years. He especially liked to study mathematics.

4) He was the youngest President the USA has ever had,
but he was President only 2 years and 10 months. He was assassinated in 1963.
His aims were equal rights for all Americans – white or black – and peace in
the world. He was the founder of the Peace Corps, which sends young men and
