“How to preserve this fragile planet which is in our hands”
By Shamatava Vakhtang – 8”A”
I am Shamatava
Vakhtang, a pupil of the school No. 446, specializing in profound study of
ecology, a participant of the educational association "Investigator"
of the Moscow Children's and Youth Center for Ecology, Local History and
Tourism.
Today the issue of preservation of the world is very acute. One of the
consequences of human activities on the Earth is pollution. The factories
smoke, cars exhaust emissions of harmful substances from fires – all of them
poison the air. The chemicals dangerous for people and animals are constantly
merged into the seas, lakes and rivers from factories, plants and farms. Contaminated
landfills, nuclear waste and other debris from our civilization… They are
killing our natural environment.
We,
the students of school 446 are trying to protect nature in our local
environment. Though the actions are not at a large scale but they are
important.
At
school, we organize Birds’ days, various eco-forums, Green Olympiads and
excursions on the eco-trails. Our school also participates in the projects of
eco-volunteering. The care of nature should be laid in the consciousness of the
society; therefore, from the early ages it is so important to educate children
in this direction. It is necessary to talk about the need to take care of
nature with the younger generation, because without nature, a person will
perish.
Do
you care about the health of our planet and what are you willing to do to save
it? Hurry up until this little fragile ball is still alive.
