The educational goals of the lesson:

  1. Introduction and initial development of the lexical material;

  2. Learn to name the colours in English;

  3. Repeat the use of the verb "to be" in positive sentences in Simple Present tense;

  4. Continue to develop pronunciation skills.


The developmental goals of the lesson:

  1. The development of thinking, memory and attention of students;

  2. Development of creative abilities and initiative of students;

  3. To develop skills in all types of speech activity;

  4. To develop the ability to build the statement on the sample and independently.

  1. To foster a positive attitude toward classmates, to them, to listen and hear others;

Children look at the picture, listen to the poem about rainbow and guess the theme of the lesson (COLOURs).

Listen to the teacher.

If he/she has the named colour, then he/she stands up and says “Hooray!”
