My native village
Every man has his own Motherland.
It`s the place, where a man was born. May be this place is usual and
uninteresting for other people, but for you it is the dearest place in the
world. There is no place like home. No need to roam the world in the search of
the most beautiful place. You should turn around. It`s your native home place,
the land, where you were born, whose beauty you imbibed with your mother`s
milk. One of such place is my native village Orgeout. This is a small village.
The population of our village is about 400. Our village is divided into two
villages: Nalbikta and Darga. In the center of the village there is a village
office. There is a club, a museum, a library, a post – office, two shops in
our village. There is a school in our village. Our school named after
T.I.Petrov, the founder of our school. Our school is not very big building made
of wood. We like our school because of interesting social activities there.
Our
village museum was opened some years ago. There are a lot of interesting
exhibits, many old photographs. Sometimes we have lessons there.
There are not many houses in our village. The houses are made of wood. The occupation
of villagers is agriculture. They grow potatoes, cabbages, carrots, beat,
onions, tomatoes and cucumbers. They keep cows, horses, hens and pigs. Children
help their parents about the house. Men of our village like hunting.
My native village is very beautiful in all seasons. There are fields and a
forest round the village. A nice river Umuluun runs near the village. The
people of the village like to bathe in it in summer, when the summer is hot. In
winter, even if the weather is cold, the children ski and skate on the ice of
the lake.
The people of my village are very hospitable, they are always glad to meet the
guests. We have many interesting traditions, such as: Festivals of folk and
children`s song, we celebrate the Day of the Village, Farewell Winter Festival,
Yhyakh, Farewell Autumn Festival and the Day of old people. The people in our
village are very calm. The nature is clean, air is clean. In summer we go on a
carpet of meadows and flowers, on winter we go on white snow, drink the
crystal lake clear water. There is no traffic noise here. I like my village
very much.
Welcome to my native village!
