Тема: Famous people in the world of culture
Цель: формирование коммуникативной компетенции учащихся в
рамках обозначенной темы
Задачи:
ü
учить
школьников полноценно пользоваться английским языком во всех видах речевой
деятельности в разных сферах его применения;
ü
способствовать
овладению учащимися основными способами мыслительной деятельности (выделение
главного, анализ, обобщение);
ü
создать
условия для активного взаимодействия, развития аналитического и критического
мышления
Задачи для
учащихся:

составлять рассказ по образцу;

высказывать свою точку зрения на английском языке;

применять полученные знания на практике

к концу урока учащиеся смогут рассказать о фактах из жизни
известных людей Беларуси и Великобритании
I. Warming-up (3 min)
Good morning! I’m glad to see you and
hope you are ready to start working. You look great today, just ready for
making pictures. By the way, I have some pictures to show you too. (слайд 1) Look at these pictures,
do you know these people? What are their names? What are they famous for? (слайд 2)
II. Actualization of personal
experience. Checking homework (3 min) (

Now I `d like you S(A) to stand
up. Come here, I have several cards for you, take one. You will work in pairs
with your shoulder partners. Your home task was to make a list of questions
for an interview with a famous person. Use these questions and role-play the
dialogues between a famous person and the interviewer. You have 2 min (слайд 4-7)
III. Announcement of the topic and
the necessity to study it (3 min)
(слайд 8) Look at these pictures, do you know these people?
What do you know about them? What do they have in common? (famous )Can we say
that they are famous? What do you think the topic of our lesson today is…(
famous people)
Ok, but in what sphere they are famous?
(art or culture)
Yes, that`s why….. The topic of our

Aim: develop Ss speaking skills

What can we do to achieve this aim? (слайд 10) Look
at the screen.
¢ Practice in pronounciation;
¢ Practice to use the active vocabulary;
¢ Read about famous people;
¢ Listen about their biography and career;
¢ Talk about famous and successful people

Can you say that all these people are
famous and successful? How did they
get fame and success? Maybe, it’s really difficult to answer these questions
for you now. Let’s try to analyze the experience of these people and maybe,
you can answer these quistions during our lesson. today I propose you to
speak about these
IV. Vocabulary Practice
Speaking about famous people, we`ll have to use
special words and expressions adjectives verbs and nouns.. Let`s practise them.
Look at your Pupils` sheets (Attachment 1, ex.1).
Divide the words into 3 groups. You have 2 minutes.
Let`s check, who is ready? ( check the task with
the help of a board) I hope these words will be useful for you during the
