Teacher: Good morning everybody. We’ll speak about the
most beautiful season today. Listen to the poem and guess the season.
This is the season
When snowdrops bloom,
When nobody likes
To stay in the room.
This is the season
When birds make their nests,
This is the season
We all like best.
What is it?
(Children: It is spring.)
Teacher: You are right. Now look at this word – web and fill
the words - associations with spring.
Student 1: Little red bird in the tree,
Pass the happy news along,
Sing a song so cheerily,
Pass the happy news along.
Student 2: Pass the happy news along,
Listen to the red bird’s song:
“Spring is coming, winter’s
gone.”
Pass the happy news along.
A poem:
Spring
Spring is
coming, I can feel it,
How soft is the
morning air.
Birds are
singing, buds are peeping,
Life and joy
are everywhere.
Teacher: Look at the table and match
the words describing spring.

Student 1: March wind goes out to play,
He will have such fun today.
When the boys and girls come out,
He blows their caps and hats
about.
Teacher: Let’s play and sing a song
“Mulberry bush”
Student 2: Days are clear,
Day after day,
When April’s here,
That leads to May.
A poem: Spring.
The flowers are blooming
everywhere,
On every hill and dell:
And oh, how beautiful they are.
How sweetly do they smell.
The little birds now hop along,
And look so glad and gay;
I love to hear their pleasant
song,
I feel as glad as they.
A
Song: “Spring rain”.
Student 1: Deep in the woods a song I
hear,
A robin is singing, “May is here.”
Then at my feet a violet blue
Is singing, “I am blooming for
you”.
Student 2: In the merry month of May
All the little birds are gay.
They all hop and sing and say:
“Winter days are far away,
Welcome, welcome, merry May”.
Teacher: In spring a lot of flowers are
blooming. We have got one flower, which is unusual. Pick one of its petals and
answer the question which is written on the petal.
Flower
Seven Colours.
(What are spring months?, Why do you
like spring?, What are your favourite activities in spring?, What spring
flowers do you know?, What month comes before May?, What colour are trees and
grass in spring?, What month comes after March?)
Student 1: In the merry month of May
All the violets are gay,
They all dance and sing and say,
“Winter days are far away,
Welcome, welcome, merry May.”
Teacher: Let us go to the garden, to the
forest or the field. How many flowers you will see there. Every month of spring
and summer brings us some new flowers. In April we have violets and snowdrops.
In May we have dandelions, daffodils, tulips. In June we have lilies,
bluebells. In July we have forget – me – nots, corn – flowers, pinks.
Flowers are beautiful. They are so
colourful.
(Просмотр презентации “Spring flowers”)
Teacher: We invite you in our
theatre. Let’s see the play “Flowers”
Flowers.
(A
fairy – tale)
Characters:
Queen of flowers, snowdrop, violet, lily of the valley, daffodil, buttercup,
blue – bell, corn – flower, sunflower, poppy, rose.
Setting: The flowers
meet in the forest. One day the flowers have a meeting to decide when to come
to the gardens and fields.
Queen of flowers:
My dear flowers. Spring is here. When are you coming to the gardens and fields?
Flowers: We are coming. We are coming.
Queen of flowers: Who is coming first?
Snowdrop:
I am first to come. I come when snow is on the ground. I have a white dress. My
name is snowdrop. Don’t you think I am pretty?
In the heart of a seed,
Buried deep, so deep,
A little snowdrop
Lay fast asleep.
“Wake,” said the sunshine
“And creep to the light.”
“Wake,” said the voice
Of the raindrops bright.
The little snowdrop heard,
And it rose to see
What the wonderful world
Outside might be.
Violet: And I come next.
I don’t like snow. It is cold when the snow is on the ground. I like warm days.
My dress is violet. And now you surely know that I am a violet.
Sweet and fresh are violets,
On every hill and dell;
And oh, how beautifully they are.
How lovely do they smell.
Lily of the valley: My
name is Lily of the valley. I think you all like my small white bells.
Spring is coming, spring is coming,
Flowers are coming too,
Pensies, lilies, daffodillies
Now are coming through.
Daffodil:
I come next. I am yellow like the sun. I like to dance in the wind. My name is
daffodil.
Up popped a crocus,
Then two, then three;
Next came a daffodil
So fair to see;
A tulip came later,
Shaped like a cup,
“Hello,” said the others,
“We are glad you’re up”.
Buttercup: I am the last to come in spring. I
have a pretty yellow dress too. My name is buttercup. With April flowers and
sparkling showers I bring the spring to you.
Queen of Flowers:
Here comes May. Who are May flowers?
Blue – bell:
I am a May flower. I am Blue – bell. I am blue like the sky and my dress looks
like a bell.
The blue – bell is the sweetest flower
That waves in May air;
Its blossoms have the mightiest power
To soothe my spirit’s care.
Corn – flower:
Blue is my colour too. I grow in the corn and make the fields beautiful. My
name is Corn – flower.
Sunflower:
And I am like the golden sun. You can find me in the fields. My name is
Sunflower.
Poppy: I come in May
too. My name is poppy. I have two dresses – red and yellow.
Come, my children, come away,
For the sun shines bright today;
Little children, come with me,
Birds and brooks and flowers see.
Rose: All of you know
me very well and like my sweet smell. Can’t you guess who I am? Yes, of course,
you can, I am Rose. I have many pretty dresses – yellow, pink, white. I come
when the sun is hit. Then I smell lovely and you know that I am here.
Queen of flowers: Thank you, dear flowers. Now you
know when to come. So go to the fields and gardens and make them beautiful.
Good – bye.
Student 1: Who loves the trees best?
“I”, said the Spring.
“Green leaves so beautiful
To them I bring”.
Song: When woods are green.
Student 2: In the merry month of May
All the children are so gay,
They all play and sing and say;
“Winter days are far away,
Welcome, welcome, merry May”.
A
poem: A spring day.
Come, my children, come away.
For the sun shines bright today;
Little children come with me,
Birds and brooks and flowers see;
Get your hats and come away,
For it is a pleasant day,
Let us make a merry ring,
Talk and laugh and dance and sing.
A song: “In my country we are happy.”
