• Иллюстрации достопримечательностей Москвы: Большой театр, музей им. Пушкина, Красная площадь, Собор Василия Блаженного, МГУ; Лондона: Биг Бен, Вестминстерское аббатство, Букингемский дворец, Тауэрский мост, Трафальгарская площадь.
• Таблички: Лондон, Москва.
• Кроссворды: Лондон, Москва.
• Флаги Британии и России.

Ход мероприятия:

Вед: Hello, boys and girls, today we`ll have a Satellite Link Moscow- London. We have a group of children from Russia and one from England. They want to get more information about another countries and to tell about their capitals` sights. At first let`s introduce to each other.

Дети из России: Hello, I`am … Hi, my name is….. Good afternoon, I`am….

                             We are from Russia.

Дети из Англии: (тоже самое) We are from England.

1-й: I would like to tell you about my city. London is the capital of Great Britain. It is a very old city. It is two thousand years old. London is not only the capital of the country, it is also a huge port. The population of London is about 9 million people. London is one of the biggest city in Europe. It is situated on the banks of the River Thames. There are a lot of sights in London, for example, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, The Trafalgar Square, The Tower Bridge.

2-й: This is Big Ben. Big Ben is the huge clock in one of the tall towers of the Houses of Parliament. T he Houses of Parliament is the largest modern building in the richest Gothic style completed in 1857. The Clock Tower is 316 ft high and 40 ft square. People are allowed to get inside the Tower so that they can see the works of Big Ben. There is no lift and there are three hundred and forty steps up to Big Ben. The faces of the clock are very large. It weighs 13.5 tons.

3-й: The other interesting place is Westminster Abbey, which was founded in 1050. It is situated in the centre of London. It is a place where kings and queens are crowned. It was destroyed and rebuild several times. Many famous people are buried here, among them Newton, Darwin, Dickens and Kipling.

4-й: The official London residence of the Queen is Buckingham Palace. It was built in the 18^th century. When the flag is flying on the top she is at home.

5-й: There are many nice squares in London. Trafalgar Square is one of them. One can see a Nelson`s Column in the middle of this square. It is named after the greatest admiral Lord Nelson. It is a very tall column and a figure of Nelson on top of it. He defeated the French at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805.

6-й: The tower of London is a very old building. It is more than 900 years old. English kings lived in it many years ago, but now it is a museum. It was a fortress, a royal palace and later a prison. The ravens are another famous sign. The legend says that without them the Tower will fall.

1-й: Moscow is the capital of Russia. It is one of the biggest and most beautiful cities in the world. Moscow is a modern city now. The population of the city is about 9.5 million people. Moscow is a political centre, where the government of our country works. Moscow was founded in 1147 by Yuri Dolgoruky. There are a lot of sights in Moscow:

The Bolshoi Theatre, the State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, the State Moscow University, Red Square, St. Basil`s Cathedral the Blessed and many others.

2-й: The best starting point of the tour around the city is Red Square, the central and the most beautiful square in Moscow. Red Square was formed by Ivan III at the end of the 15^th century. Now it is the place of parades, meetings and demonstrations.

3-й: Here one can see St. Basil`s Cathedral the Blessed. It was built in the mid-16 century for Tsar Ivan IV to commemorate the victory over the Golden Horde. It erected by architects Postnik and Barma. It is the masterpiece of Russian architecture.

4-й: The Bolshoi Theatre is one of the famous theatres all over the world. It is one of the biggest centers of the world musical culture. Moscow’s number one theatre of opera and ballet. It was founded in 1776. The building itself is an outstanding monument of Russian classical architecture. A lot of outstanding singers and ballet dancers have been performing on the stage of the Bolshoi.

5-й: One of the highest buildings in Moscow is the State Moscow University. It was founded in 1755 by the great scientist Mikhail Lomonosov. A lot of students from different countries study there.

6-й:  The Pushkin Museum is a museum in Moscow which has one of the largest art collections in Russia and in the world. It was founded by Ivan Tsvetaev and Yuri Nechaev-Maltsev and opened in 1912.
