We came in the
classroom. Last year Johnny was my deskmate, but now he was in Alaska. I was
unhappy.
Suddenly the door
opened, and we saw a boy.
He said hello, and
our teacher Missis Kentsky asked him:
– Who are you?
– Johnny. Johnny
Knot. I am in your class.
– Are you new to
the school?
– Yes, I am. I am
from Richmond, US.
– Nice to meet
you, Johnny! Tell us about yourself.
– My mum says I am
very noisy because I like to make things. I think that's OK. I can make a
birdhouse or a bed for my sister's dolls. I make my sister a lot of things
because I like to be busy. When she gets a new toy, she is not naughty. But my
dad says I am clever and he is proud of me. I love my dog, he is funny, playful
and friendly. My sister says I am her favourite brother... But I'm afraid, she
hasn't got any other brothers... My teacher in Richmond said that I am very
quick in class work. But I haven't got any friends here, and I want to find a
friend.
Now I said, "Sit
with me and be my friend!". Now we are best friends.
