A dialogue:
-
This
theatre is beautiful! Perfect surroundings for an opera .
-
I
agree! So… where are we sitting? In the stalls?
-
No,
the stalls were fully booked. Our seats are somewhere in the circle .
-
Oh,
that’s OK… which row are we on?
-
Well,
let’s see… Our tickets say W10 and W11 so that’s… e… five… six… rows up from
here… Oh no! We’re in the very back row.
-
Oh,
my goodness, I can hardly see the stage!
-
Look!
There’s a whole row of empty seats a few rows further down. Let’s move over
there!
-
Be
in a hurry! The performance is about to start.
-
OK,
let’s go!
-
Ah,
that’s better. Oh, no
-
What’s
now?
-
The
man who just sat down in front of me is really tall! I can’t see a thing
-
Let’s remember the
beginning of theatre.
-
“All
the world’s a stage and all the men and women merely players.” “Весь
мир – театр и люди в нем актеры, таланты разные нам при рождении даны.”. These
are the words of famous Shakespeare.
-
Shakespeare
is considered a founder of the theatre.
-
I’d
like you to listen to some interesting facts from Shakespeare’s life.
The biography of
Shakespeare
-
William
Shakespeare is one of the most famous writers of all…
-
The
great author was born in 1564 on the 23d of April to John and Mary Shakespeare
-
When
the boy left it at the age of about 14, he had to work in the family business.
-
Then
suddenly Shakespeare left Stratford for London. The city of London was noisy,
dangerous and possibly very dirty in those days.
-
Theatres
in the 16th century were not like they are today.
-
By
that time Shakespeare already had a reputation of a poet and a dramatist, or
playwright.
-
During
his life he wrote 37 plays, several longer poems and 154 sonnets. His sonnets
are 14-line love poems, wise and beautiful. Even nowadays people learn them by
heart and remember lines from them. Who wants to read Shakespeare’s sonnet?

сонетов.

Вступление
-
Первая сцена:
Capulet: Nurse, where’s my daughter? Call her forth to
me.
Nurse: I just now told her come.
Juliet: How now? Who calls?
Nurse: Your mother is the lady of the house, and a
good lady, both wise and virtous.
Juliet: Madam, I’m here. What is your will?
Capulet: Marry, that marry is the very theme I came to
talk of. Tell me, daughter, Juliet, are you inclined to be married?
Juliet: It is an honors I dream not of.
Capulet: In brief, the valiant Paris seeks you for his
love. What do you say?
Juliet: I’ll look to be favorable, if looking can move
my favor, but I will look no deeper than your permission grants.
Serving man: madam, the guests have arrived.
Capulet: We’re coming. Juliet, the Count is waiting
for you.

Все что на свете

Здесь все
прекрасно – жесты, маски,
Костюмы, музыка,
