Introduction
When we decided to participate in the annual school
conference, a lot of interesting topics were opened up for us to discuss.
Our main task was to choose a topic to study so it
was interesting and useful for us, as well as for others.
The idea of our topic came after the realization of
a large number of foreign words in our speech.
We tried to find out how global the problem of the
invasion of loan words in Russian language is.
Goals
and objectives of the project
1.Find the basic words we use daily.
2. Attract attentionstudents to this problem.
3. Conduct a survey among classmates.
4. Make an analysis based on the results of the
survey.
5. Identify the relevance of the problem.
6. To summarize our work.
The hypothesis is put forward by us:
"English
words and expressions will never replace Russian ones!"
Problem
object
The Russian language is rich and powerful, and this the
very wealth is constantly growing.
The new words come from other languages. Today we will
tell you about the most frequently used words of English origin in Russian.
You will find that you already know more than a
hundred words in English, without even having to study them on purpose.
Words
from the fashion world.

|
смокинг
|
a smoking jacket — «пиджак, в котором курят»
|
У этого слова интересное происхождение.
Раньше «пиджаки, в которых курят» были домашней одеждой. Когда джентльмен
собирался покурить, он надевал плотный пиджак (a smoking jacket), который
призван был защитить его одежду от запаха дыма и падающего пепла. Кстати,
по-английски смокинг — это a tuxedo или a dinner jacket, а smoking — это
«курение».

Commonly
used words.
Except of the above words, we would also like to add a
little slang. Which are used in their speech by many adolescents. To verify
this, we conducted a survey among our classmates. We invited them to answer the
following questions:
• In your opinion, are there many borrowed words in
our speech?
• Which language is richer?
• How do you feel about a large number of borrowed
words in Russian?
• What slang words do you use?
• Do you often use English slang?
• Is the use of borrowed words acceptable in official
speech?
Statistic
What
slang words do you use?
Is the use of borrowed
words acceptable in official speech?
Conclusion
As a result of our work, we came to the conclusion that the use of borrowed
words in Russian speech is a rather urgent problem, but does not pose any
danger of the disappearance of our language. In the course of interesting and
informative studies of our chosen topic, we came to the conclusion that the
great and powerful Russian language is irreplaceable.
After all, not only us, but also those who participated in the proposed survey,
think so.
Thus,
the hypothesis put forward at the beginning of our study was confirmed.
And we can proudly talk about the eternal existence of our mother tongue.
A small amount of borrowed vocabulary only adds variety to our speech.
In conclusion of our research work, I would like to add a very instructive
quote by Vissarion Grigorievich Belinsky: «Употреблять иностранное слово, когда есть равносильное ему русское слово,- значит оскорблять и здравый смысл, и здравый вкус».
