Орг. Момент.
2)
Речевая зарядка: Well, children, the theme of our lesson today is
“Where does the Russian language come from?” Let’s translate it. So children
today we are going to speak about the history of the Russian language. But
first of all, let’s review the history of the English language and the theme
“Why is English so popular?” Let’s review 5 main points of its popularity. And
then compare it with the history of our language.
Now
answer my questions, please:
1)
What countries or tribes tried to
invade the British Isles? (They are the Romans, Angels, Saxons, Vikings,
Normans.)
2)
How did they contribute to the
formation of the English language? (p.80 The roots of the English language).
Now
let’s review the Russian history. Can you say that any countries or tribes tried
to invade our country? Of course, you can. Name these countries, please: they
are: Sweden, Poland, Turkey, Mongol, France, German. Did they contribute to the
formation of the Russian language? Of course, they did. And you will see it at
our lesson.
The next point. England was the Great Empire, please remind us about it.(p.81 British Empire).
And
answer my question, please. Have you ever heard about such a great country as Soviet Union? You have. It’s great. I can’t say that it was an empire, but there were 15
vain republics in this union. And people used Russian as their first language,
and they still learn and speak Russian.
3)
And as far as I know, English is
so popular, because it is easy. Do you agree with me? (p.79)
Now
let’s remember the Russian language. For example, Russian alphabet. Is it very
difficult? Yes, it is difficult for some foreigners. But it takes them about a
week to learn it. But is it difficult to read and write Russian words and
sentences, if you know the alphabet? Are there any reading rules as in English?
No, there aren’t. So Russian is not difficult either.
4)
You know, that English is the
language of business. Do you agree with me? (p.79)
Now,
let’s remember the latest news around our gas and the transit of Russian gas to
the European countries through Ukraine. In what language did they make their
talks? In English? No, they made their talks in Russian. So I think, that
Russian is the language of business too. Do you agree with me?
5)
And the fifth main point. English
is the language of the Internet. What can you say about this point? (p.86)
But
as far as I know, Russian students won a lot of awards in the International
Olimpiads on Information Technology. So, who knows? May be Russian will become
the language of computers. Well, I must say, that our histories are very
similar, aren’t they? They are.
And
now let’s listen and read the text about Russian language. Open your books at
page 98, ex.3. Listen, read and translate it.
Let’s
do ex.4,5 at page 99.
There
are three myths about Russian language. Read and translate them ex.6.
Listen
to Rob and find the facts against these myth ex.7.
