Aim: By the end of the lesson the children will be able to speak about their favorite season, explain why do they like it, say what activities can they do during this season, use impersonal sentences.

Skills: Development of listening, reading,speaking,grammar skills

Revision: words on topic weater, verbs of motions, grammar structure - impersonal sentences, word oder in the imperative sentences.

Warm-up 5 min.	Good morning, children! I am very glad to see you. What date is it today? What day of the week is it today? What season is it now? What weather is it today? Do you like such weather? Let`s start our lesson. Look at the screen, please. You will watch the presentation and then try to guess the theme of our lesson. Can you tell me now the topic which we are going to discuss today? Well? You are right, we shall speak about you favorite season.	Good morning! Today is the 24th of February. Today is Wednesday. It is winter. It is sunny and frosty. Yes, we do. Children watch the presentation. Children answer the question. About seasons, about weather, about children`s activities.	Presentation:4 pictures of 4 seasons with children who are playing.
Vocabulary skills   7min.	Let`s revise words. Look at the blackboard. There are flash cards with words. We shall begin with translation. Now, lets put the cards under each season. Let`s check the work. Well done.	Children read and translate the words Children put the flash-cards under each season. Children check the words.	Flash-cards with words sunny, cloudy, rainy, windy, stormy, foggy, cloudy, snowy, cold, frosty, warm, cool, hot, sunny. (there are three cards for each word)
	Now look at the words on the blackboard. Please, identify the odd  one out and say why. Tank you. Well done.	Children come to the blackboard and cross the wrong word and explain why they crossed it	There are two lines of the words 1).cold, frosty, windy, snowy, January, hot. 2).sunny, rainy,June, warm,hot,November.

Listening skills           2 min	Now, open your textbook on page 29.Exercise 1. Look at the pictures and listen to Dan`s favorite season.	Children listen to the text and look at the pictures	Audio “My favorite season”.Unit 6, lesson 5.
Speaking skills          3 min	Answer my questions, please. What`s Dan`s favorite season? Why summer is his favorite season?	Children answer questions.
Reading skills    4 min	Now we shall read the text. Ex.1, 2) page 29.	Children read the text.
Speaking skills Grammar skills    5 min	Please ask each other questions about the text. I will write down your questions on the blackboard. Well done, Thank you, and now  answer to my questions. What does he usually put on in winter? What clothes do you usually put on in winter? What do you usually do in winter?	Children ask and answer questions Children answer teacher`s questions
Grammar skills Vocabulary skills           5 min	Look at the blackboard. You see the sentence. In winter I can ski, skate, play snowballs and make snowman. Look at it attentively. Now close your eyes. Teacher put away one word. Now, open your eyes and look at the blackboard. Who can tell me what word is missed? Who can tell me the whole sentence? (Game What`s missing.)	Children read the sentence. Close eyes and than guess what words are missed	Flash-cards with words to compose the sentence.
Vocabulary skills.        3 min.	Stand up please. Two pupils come to me and others will show you what can they do in summer. Let`s change the pupils. Show them what can they do in autumn.	Children show the actions and two pupils say: swim, ride a bike, jump, play football, play tennis, skateboard. Children show the actions and two pupils guess: play chess, read books, watch TV...	Presentation with pictures of different seasons.
Grammar skills Speaking skills         5 min.	Now watch the presentation and tell me what should we do, when the weather is… It`s great.	Children look at the pictures and tell what should they do if it is sunny, cold, warm, rainy, stormy, frosty...	Presentation “Seasons game”.
3 min	Can you tell me what about we speak during the lesson? Today you work hard and get good marks.( Teacher put the marks to every pupil). Now write down you task for the next lesson. Ex.11, page 98. Open your activity books and have a look. Are there any questions to me?	Children answer “We speak about our favorite season. Children write down the task, open their activity book to look through the task and ask questions if they have some.	The task is to write about favorite season.
