Ход урока.
1. Организационный момент.
T: Good day, dear students. I am very glad to see you. Sit down, please. Who is absent? You are all here today. That’s good. How are you? I’m fine, thank you. How is your mood? Are you ready to work? I’m glad to hear it. Let’s begin our lesson. Last lesson we spoke about the job of a manager. The theme of our today’s lesson is “Job hunting”.
2. Проведение речевой зарядки по теме прошлого урока.
T: Let’s remember what traits of character should a manager have to your mind?
P: A manager should have high standards of professional knowledge and personal conduct.
P: A good manager should be flexible, must have confidence in himself and keep a sense of proportion.
P: He must have leading ability.
P: The most important quality of a manager is the ability to deal with other people because the profession of a manager is connected with communication.
P: A good manager should be intelligent and dynamic.
3. Ознакомление с лексическим материалом по теме «Устройство на работу».
T: What words can we use speaking about job hunting?
3.1. Запись новых слов с переводом.
T: Let’s write down the words from the blackboard.
a resume, an employer, an applicant, an application form, an interview, a position, trial period, references, a salary.

T: Now, let’s listen to the interview with the applicant for the position of a Commercial director. Your task is to answer the questions:
What’s the name of an applicant?
What position does he apply?
What company did he work before applying?
How long did he work there?
What responsibilities were offered for him?
What are his strengths?
Is he a leader?
What salary was offered to him?
Where will he travel?
10. When will he start?
T: Listen to the dialogue. Answer the questions.
4.4. Заполнение анкеты
T: Mr. Klimenko has forgotten to write some information in the application. Let’s help him. (добавляют информацию на доске)
T: Now, try to fill the application about yourself. Write down information about your education, as for experience, write down about your last practice. I’ll give you six minutes. (заполняют анкету)

T: Let’s imagine that you are looking a job after finishing the technical college. What questions can be asked you by an employer? Choose them.
1. What’s your name?
2. Are you married?
3. How old is your wife?
4. Where did you work?
5. Do you have experience?
6. What do you know about our family?
7. Where do you like to rest?
8. What are your main strengths?
9. Do you like reading books?
10. Do you have pets?

T: Thank you. Now I want to tell you a story about my first interview. Your task is to listen to me attentively and answer the question: What questions was I asked during the interview? What was the most difficult question to answer?
It was after finishing the institute, ten years ago. I was looking for the position of a teacher of English at school, but there were no vacancies at schools.
I went to the work and employment center. I was offered a position of an administrator here. I did some physiological tests and was invited to the interview, the first interview in my life.
There were some questions about my education. They asked about my traits of character. I said that I was punctual, responsible and active. The last question surprised me very much. They asked me what traits of character a director should have, to my mind. Being young and inexperienced I didn’t know what to answer. How would you answer this question? I said a director should be fair. Do you agree with me? What do you think?
What questions was I asked? What question was difficult to answer? Why? What traits of character should a director have, to your mind?

T: Thank you. Write down the home task. To make up a dialogue between an applicant and an employer in pairs, no less than 3 remarks.
