The Stone of Destiny. Legend says that the Stone of Destiny was used by Jacob ( the Bible) as a pillow. It was believed to have been brought to Scotland in the 9th century. The Stone was used as a part of the crowning ceremonies of the kings of Dalriada. It was taken away by King Edward 1 of England in 1296 and remained under the Coronation Throne at Westminster Abbey in London for 700 years.

Презентация приглашает учащихся в заочное путешествие в Шотландию. Представлена информацию о географическом положении Щотландии, символах страны. Более подробно дается информация о высокогорье Шотландии, Hadrian Wall. Столица и ее достопримечательности, а также крупные города и их достопримечательности. Фестивали и праздники. Fortingall Yew, шотландские волынка, кильт, тартан, споран, твид - информация представлена. Учащиеся познакомятся с легендой о камне судьбы и его  историей. Известно, что один из символов - это чертополох, но также еще одно растение любимо в Шотландии - вереск. В заключение дается информация о популярных в Шотландии блюдах.
